JACOB, KAUFMAN, 54, of
3246 Lawrence, died last Satur-
day. Funeral services Were held
Monday at Lewis Bros. Burial
was in Clover Hill Park Cem-
etery. He was a member of the
Masonic Order and of the Jewish
War Veterans. Surviving are his
wife, Fanny; a son, Noiman, two
daughters, Mrs. J. Phillips and
Madeline Kaufman.

JWV Urges Voters
To Register; Hold
Civic Affair Oct. 24
Members of the 18 Posts and
eight Ladies Auxiliaries of the
Department of Michigan, Jewish
War Veterans, as well as the gen-
eral public are being urged by
the JWV to register by Oct. 16
for the Nov. 5 elections.
The JWV community program
to be held on Oct. 24 at head-
quarters, 8212-12th, will be fea-
tured with entertainment, re-
freshments, and the appearance
of a large number of public of-
ficials including all candidates
seeking public office.

vice-president, as well as repre-
sentatives of the various posts
and auxiliaries are formulating
plans for a series of dances to be
held at department headquarters.
