Feather Revue," a WWJ variety
program which each week features
a different Community Chest
service.
Mrs. Hartman, who lives at 2485
Chicago Blvd.. has been a volun-
teer receptionist for 14 years at
North End Clinic, which gives free
medical and dental care to in-
digent patients.
Job Still Exciting
"I've seen so many people given
a new lease on life through the
clinic that I can't begin to remem-
ber them all," she said. "Even after
all this time I still find the job
exciting, and I'm sure other vol-
unteers would, too, if they'd just
come and see for themselves
what's being done."
For 11 years Mrs. Bargman, 2013
N. Wood Blvd., Royal Oak, has
given two days a 'eek to the Jew-
ish Social Service Bureau. Her

Mrs. Joseph H. Ehrlich will pre-
side. Miss Pearl Deven^ will be
in charge of arrangements.
Presenting the slate of candi-
dates will be the nominating com-
mittee, under the chairmanship
of Mrs. ,idney J. Allen. Other
members of the committee include
Mesdames Brown, Perry P Burn-
stine, John C. Hopp, Samuel
LaBow and Charles Rubiner.
Members of the program com-
mittee who planned the luncheon
are Mesdames Weiner. chairman;
Abraham Cooper, co-chairman;
Max Dushkit Seymour J. Frank,
Michael Freeman, Harry Jones,
Sanders and Miss Devenow.
Exhibits depicting the work of
the various Red Feather agencies
of particular interest to Federa-
tion members were supervised by
Mrs. David B. Werbe, Mrs. Barge-

tee, who has visited Palestine and
has made a thorough study of the
Jewish position, will address the
Pioneer Women's Organization
Council at its membership tea

Auken did post-graduate work in
the New York School for Social

Mr. Atlas is well known in the
Jewish community, having par-
ticipated in the Allied Jewish
Campaigns, War Chest and Com-
munity Find drives.
During his association with
Hodges Auto Sales, Mr. Atlas
has personally delivered more
than 5,000 cars.
Hodges Auto Sales will now be
located in its three properties,
now all in one, extending for a
block and a third (170 feet)
along the double lanes of Wood-
ward Ave. carrying all Oakland
County suburban traffic and the
bulk of Greater Detroit 2,000,000
citizens when they are pleasure-
bound northward.

assisted 677 families. By the end
of June, the 1946 figure already
stood at 828, a jump of 151 over
the previous year's total.
Both agencies are members of
the Jewish Welfare Federation.

Officers of the Women's Division
of the Jewish Welfare Federation
will be elected at the annual
meeting of the division, to be
held in the form of a dessert
luncheon at 1 p. m. Monday, Oct.
7, at the Jewish Center.
The program will feature a
panel discussion on the role of the
Women's Division in the 1946 Red
Feather Community Chest Drive.
Participating in the panel will be
Mrs. Douglas I. Brown. Mrs. Theo-
dore Bargman, Mrs. Max Frank,
Mrs. Julian H. Krolik, Mrs.
Maurice Landau, Mrs. Alexander
Sanders and Mrs. Leonard H.
Weiner. Isidore Sobeloff, execu-
tive director of the JWF, will
lead the discussion.
A proposed constitutional change
also will be voted on at the lunch-
eon, which will be attended by
women contributors to the Allied
Jewish Campaign.
