Mowrer to Speak Oct. 22
At Public Rally of JNF

William Hordes, president of the Jewish National Fund
Council of Detroit, announced this week that arrangements
are being made for a public address, under auspices of the
JNF, to be delivered here on Tuesday evening, Oct. 22, by
Edgar Ansell Mowrer, eminent foreign correspondent, at the
Shaarey Zedek.
Mr. Mowrer has the distinction of being the first Amer-
ican correspondent to have been expelled from Germany
under the Nazis.
Further details regarding the meeting will be announced
next week.
The Oct. 22 meeting will be utilized to launch the annual
donor event of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Jewish National
Fund and to honor members of the American Christian
Palestine Committee.
