refugees in Germany are so dis-
illusioned that outbreaks may be
expected in the DP camps. Jacob

Seats have been distributed dur-
ing the past week under the
chairmanship of Charles Charlip
of the seating committee.
A Siyum Hatorah will be held
at the Synagogue at 2:30 p. m.
this Sunday. A Torah will be pre-
sented at that time by Mrs. Zlata
Charlip and family in memory of
her children. Israel Charlip and
Betty Charlip Schwartz. The pub-

dent Truman's statement that he

people affected as well as the

not vitally affect the solution of
the Palestine problem since the

Rabbi Bernstein Returning
To Discuss Entry of DPs

Philip Bernstein. Jewish advisor
to the American occupation forces

cured an audience with Pope Pius

Belgium Erects Memorial

BRUSSELS I JTA —The foun-
dation stone of a memorial to
Jewish victims of the German oc-
cupation in Belgium was laid in
the Etterbeek cemetery here. Only
1.500 out of 32.000 Jews deported
from Belgium have come back
from the concentration camps.
