ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Mr. and Mrs: Leonard L. Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Butzel
of Birmingham have returned from a short stay in Charlevoix.
Dr. and Mrs. B. Benedict Glazer of the Lee Plaza Apt. and daugh-
ter, Stephanie, have returned from Atlantic City where they spent
the summer months.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis C. Frank and Mrs. H. J. L. Frank of
Colorado Ave. returned from a month's stay at Lake Louise and
Banff Springs in the Canadian Rockies.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wineman of Hamilton Rd. and Mr. and
Mrs. Felix Mahler of Whitmore Rd. spent the last week-end in
Chicago.
Mrs. Gilbert Hart and her two children have returned to their
home in South Bend, Ind. after a visit with Mrs. Hart's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert M. Myers of Chicago Blvd.
Mrs. Clarence Enggass of Cumberland Way returned from a few
days' visit in Chicago.
Mrs. Joseph Burak has returned from Grand Rapids where she
spent the last few days visiting with her mother, Mrs. Ben Wolfe.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wineman of Hamilton Rd. have returned
from Gaylord, where they spent the summer months at their cabin.
Mr. and Mrs. Miles Finsterwald of Balmoral Rd. returned from
New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Myer Levy have. returned to their home in Jackson
after a few days visit with Mr. and Mrs. Alex Cohen of Calvert Ave.
Richard Heavenrich, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A.' Heavenrich
of Longfellow Ave., is leaving this Friday for Cambridge, Mass., where
he will resume his studies at Harvard Graduate school.
Mrs. Charles Feinberg of Boston Blvd. and her father, Harry
Brown of Longfellow Ave., returned from a visit in New York.
Clement Hopp Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Hopp of Long-
fellow Ave., left for Coral Gables, Miami, where he will matriculate
at the University of Miami.
Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Harris of Gloucester Dr. have as • their
guests Mrs. Harris' mother, Mrs. A. L. Kobacker of Toledo.
Staff Sgt. Rolf Manko, who has been in service for 25 months,
including one year in the Pacific area, has received his discharge
and is now at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Manko
of Calvert Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tobin of Webb Ave. have returned from
Highmount, N. Y., where they were guests for a few weeks at Grand
Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Myer Gerson and Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Hayden of
Oak Dr. left on Wednesday to spend a week in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wetsman, their daughter, Wendy, and son,
Hank returned from an extended stay in Lexington.

MISS CHARLOTTE KAUFMAN

At a family dinner on Sunday
afternoon, Sept. 8, Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Kaufman of Ann Arbor
announced the engagement of
their daughter, Charlotte, to
Morris Stulberg, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Max Stulberg of Marshall
Mich.
Miss Kaufman, assistant direc-
tor of the University of Michigan
Bnai Brith Hillel Foundation, was
graduated from the University of
Michigan in 1943 and prior to her
present position was a member of
the Social Service Staff at the
University Hospital in Ann Arbor.
She is the granddaughter 'of Mrs.
A. Rogvoy of Gladstone Ave.
Mr. Stulberg attended Mich-
igan State College and the Uni-
versity of Colorado. He recently
was discharged from the U. S.
Army and at present is enrolled
in the School of Business Admin-
istration at the University of
Michigan.
