—that is the story of fighting
Jewish Palestine today. Parallel
with the battle which is symbol-
ized by the life and death strug-
gle for continued Jewish immi-
gration to Palestine, is the twin
aim to implement the land pro-
gram of the Jewish National
Fund for the constructive purpose
of Jewish resettlement.

"This program has been dra-
matically epitomized by
the
founding, in recent weeks, of two
new settlements for Jewish war
veterans. One of the new settle-
ments was named Kfar Kisch,
in tribute to the memory of the
late Brig. • Gen. Frederick H.
Kisch, distinguished Zionist lead-
er and Chairman of the Execu.
tive of the Jewish Agency for
Palestine, whose heroic achieve-
ments as chief engineer of the
British Eighth Army during the
historic stand at El Alamein is
one of the epics of World War
II.

"Brig. Kisch gave his life for
the Allied cause during the cam-
paig nin Tunisia, deeply believing
that he was fighting for a better
and a more just World in which
the Jewish people would take
their rightful place among the

family of nations."
