ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Mrs. John Frazer and daughter, Frieda, of Leslie Ave. left on
Sunday for a visit in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kramer of Whitemore Rd. are spending a few
weeks in Battle Creek, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Nate Plotkin of West Outer Dr. have returned
from a few weeks' vacation in Miami Beach, Fla., and Havana.
Mrs. Paula Conn of Beverly Hills, Calif., is the guest of Mrs. I.
L. Lapides of Pontiac.
Mrs. Theodore Gebhardt of Lorain, 0., is the guest of her brother,
Aaron Klein of Boston Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph blazer and son, Louis, of Tyler 'Ave and
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Glazer of Kercheval Ave. are at Tawas City,
Mich., for a month.
Mr. and Mrs. George Seligman of Edison Ave. are spending a
few weeks in Frankfort.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Smith of Oak Dr. left on Sunday to visit
their children who are at Racquet Lake and to spend a few weeks at
Arcady Country Club, Lake George, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Greene and son, Donald, of Oak Dr. have
returned from a tour of the New England States.
Mrs. Leonard Radner and daughter, Carol, of Dumbarton Dd.
have returned from Chicago where they were the guests of Mrs.
Radner's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Moyer.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Krell of the Lee Plaza Apt. are leaving this
Friday for New York where they will spend a week visiting with
members of their family and will attend the wedding of Mrs. Krell's
nephew.
Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Tilchin of Wisconsin Ave. have as their
guests Mrs. Tilchin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Meyers of Peoria, Ill.
Seymour Lewis will return to his home in Gladstone, Mich.,
after a few days' visit in the city. He will be accompanied by his
parents and his nephew, Henry Winkelman, who will remain up
north for a few weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Fisher, who recently returned from Bristol,
N. H., where they visited their daughter, Jane, at Camp Wi-ca-su-ta,
had as their guests this week Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Wacstein of East
Orange, N. J.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Helper of LaSalle Blvd. are spending 10
days in Quebec.
Mrs. Betty Lipton of New York is the guest of her brother-in-law
and sister, Dr. and Mrs. Saul Lewis of Ferndale. Her son, Jimmy
Lipton, will join her next weekend.
Lt. and Mrs. Norman Siegel (Barbara Levitt) have left for San
Francisco, where Lt. Siegel will report for duty with the U. Sc Army.
Maj. Days Benson, who is on terminal leaye after four years
service, including service in the ETO, is visiting his mother, Mrs.
Benjamin Benson of Calvert Ave.
Joan Rothman of Glastonbury Ave. left on Monday for Pittsburg
where she will visit Betty Kamens, her roommate at the U. of M.
Dr. and Mrs. J. M. Art of Cortland Ave. are vacationing at East
Shore Hotel, Frankfort, Mich.

Story in Mexico

Miss Ann Solomon, of 1707 At-

is under the auspices of the U. S.
Office of Education and the Na-
tional Education Association and
the British Ministry of 'Education.
She is a graduate of Highland
Park High School and University
of Michigan.

Dvorah Rothbard appears there
under the auspices of the Pioneer
Women of Mexico.
Headed by Mrs. A. KlatChky,
sister of Sara Kukso, who was a
recent Palestinian delegate to the
Pioneer Women's Organization,
and sister to Eliezer Kaplan, mem-
ber of the Jewish Agency, Pioneer
Women's Organization of Mexico
has been actively engaged in help-
ing to provide the funds necessary
for the rescue and rehabilitation
work.

Hold Convention Here

Delta Omega Iota Sorority will
hold its annual convention at the
Detroit Leland Hotel on Labor
Day week-end.
There will be a semi-formal
