Torgow, returned from a six-week vacation in Montreal and the
Laurentian Mountains. •

week of their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Bing

Miss Alyce Michelson of 2070 Collingwood has returned from
Miami Beach, Fla., after spending four weeks at Versailles Hotel.
Mrs. George Freedman of •Whitmore Road returned from a
stay in Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Friedlander (Anne Weingarten) of Toronto
are guests at Hotel Statler. While in Detroit they are visiting their
brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Weingarten of the
Wilshire Apts.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Eidelman of 4109 Clements will hold open
house on Sunday. Aug. 18, 8 -to 10 p. m., in honor of the marriage
of their daughter, Perle, to Victor Landaw, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Landaw of 13535 LaSalle. •
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Roe of 3375 Collingwood have returned
from a two-week vacation at Greenbush Inn, Greenbush, Mich.
They will leave on Sept. 3 for a 10-day stay in New York.
Miss Selma Sampliner of the Chatham Hotel is spending 10 days
in Cleveland visiting members of her family.
'Susan Dreifus of Birchcrest Drive has left to visit her aunt, Mrs.
3. D. Altschuler of Los Angeles, Calif.
Dr. and Mrs. Emil Rothman and their daughter, Joan, of Glas-
tonbury Road have returned from a month's stay in California and
the Canadian Rockies.
• Mr. and Mrs. George R. Leiber of Lawrence Ave. are spending 10
days at Trout Lake, Mich.
The Misses Jeanette and Ruth Caplan of Whitmore Road are
spending a week at Grand Haven, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jacobs of Glynn Court have returned from
Chicago where they spent a few days visiting with their son, S 1/c
Marvin Jacobs, who is stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Center.
Mrs. Oscar Blumberg of Glynn Court has left to spend the
remainder of the summer in Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Myron Stein of Woodstock Ave. have left to spend
some time in Atlantic City.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Klein of Chicago Blvd. are leaving this
Friday for Bermuda where they will spend a fortnight.
Mrs. JoSeph Levin of Boston Blvd. has as her guest her brother
and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rosen of Los Angeles.
Betty Ziv of Wildemere Ave. is spending a few weeks with her
uncle and aunt,' Mr. and Mrs. Milton Fish of Highland Park,. Ill.

Hotel in Mackinac Island.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Oppenheim of Whitmore Road left on
Thursday for California where they will remain a few weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Barney Barnett of Boston Blvd. have returned from
a stay in Harbor Springs.
Miss Muriel Salinger of Tuxedo Ave. is spending a month in Los
Angeles as the guest of her uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zierer.
Miss Harriet Simons of the Wilshire Hotel has returned from the
Saguenay River Cruise.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Perlmutter of Edison Ave. and Mrs. Fara
Rosenfield of Genessee Ave. have left to visit friends in Butler, Pa.
-Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Fisher of Lakewood Ave. have returned from
a 10 day stay in Algonquin Park, Ontario. where they visited their
son, Michael, at Camp Tamakwa. Walter Mayer. Dr. Edward Weiss,
and Henry Rose have also returned from visits with their sons at the
same camp. .
Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Lieberman of Santa Barbara Drive are
spending three weeks in Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Green of Muirland Ave. left on Monday to
spend a fortnight in Atlantic City.
Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Sterling of Berkeley Rd. left on Sunday
for La Mesa, Calif., where they plan to make their home.
Samuel Winkelman has returned to his home in Wasau, Wis.,
after a week's visit with members of his family.
Benjamin Krell of Lawrence Ave. is returning this Friday from
the Noronit Cruise to Duluth.
Miss Julia Klein and her father, Aaron Klein, have returned
from Cleveland and Lorraine, 0., where they visited with members
of their family.
Mrs. David Hershman and her small daughter, Susan, of Calvert
Ave., have returned from a month's stay in South Haven, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Levine and their daughter, Ethel, of Calvert
Ave. and Miss Leah Croh.n of Wildemere Ave. left on Sunday for the
Muskoka Lakes.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gottlieb of Collingwood Ave. have returned
from a week's stay at Racquet Lake, New York.
Miss Charlotte Abrams of Lakepointe Ave., Grosse Pointe, has
returned from Chicago where she visited with friends.
Mrs. Theodore Roth and her daughter, Ruth, of Nottingham
Ave. have returned from Los Angeles where they spent the winter.
Mr. Roth, who joined them last month, returned with them.
Samuel Rosenthal has returned to his home in Chicago after a
few days' visit with his brother-in_lav, , and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Sid-
ney imerman of Appoline Ave.
Mrs. Tobias Garon and daughter ; Gita, of Stoepel Ave. have left
by plane for a visit in Duluth.
Mrs. Alfred Keats of Minden Ave. is visiting with members of
her family and friends in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Mitchell • and daughter, Joan, of Lakewood
Ave. left on Sunday to spend a fortnight in South Haven.
Mrs. Earl Freshman and son, Gordon. of Huntington Woods,
left Friday for Altoona, Pa., where they will visit with Mrs. Fresh-
man's father.
Dr. and Mrs. David Sugar and daughter, Judy, of Carter Ave.
spent the last week-end in Leamington, Ontario.
Mr. and Mrs. Casper Cutler of Collingwood Ave. have returned
from Los Angeles where they spent the last month visiting with Mrs.
Cutler's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Friedman. Upon
their return they left for Racquet Lake, New •York,_ to visit their
daughter, Marjory, and their son, Donald, who a-re at camp there.
Sally Brown of Lucerne Drive has - as her guest this week Pat
Hume of Ann Arbor.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Friedman of Glynn Court are spending a
fortnight in Saratoga, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marwill of LaSalle Blvd. have returned from
Portland, Me., where they visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Milton Marwill. Before returning home they spent some
time in Old Orchard, Me.
Dr. and Mrs. A. M. Bookstein of Highland Towers returned on
Monday from a stay in Atlantic City.
Mrs. Victor Avrunim of Jersualem, Palestine, is spending - a few
months with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Daniel Avrunim of Sturtevant Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Saul J. Ben3'as of Filagree Ave. and Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Blacher of Greenlawn Ave. left by motor to spend 10 days
in Algonquin Park, Ont., from where they will visit their children
who are at Camp Arowhon.
