ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Miss Minnie Tobin of NeW York is visiting with members of her
family. She is the house guest of her sister, Miss Edna Tobin of
Broadstreet Blvd.
Dr. and 'Mrs. A. Saul Sugar have returned to ther home in
Chicago after a fortnight's visit with members of their family.
Mrs. Fanny Tobias of Los Angeles is a guest at the Belcrest
Hotel while visiting with relatives in the city.
Sgt. Sam Alpert, who has been in service for three years, in-
cluding 21/2 years in the ETO, has received his discharge and is at
home with Mrs. Alpert at 2715 Rochester Ave.
Mrs. J. J. Wechsler and her small son of New York are visiting
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Goldberg of the Wilshire Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Barney Salinger of Tuxedo Ave. left on Sunday
for a few weeks in Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Blum of Atkinson Ave. are spending a few
weeks in Atlantic City.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ehrlich of Boston Blvd. have returned from
a three weeks.' stay in Greenbush.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kurrian and their family of Chicago
Blvd. are spending the summer at their home in Point Pelee, Ont.
Miss Audrey Buckner of'New York is spending a fortnight with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Buckner of Pontiac.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Jackson and their daughter of Wisconsin
Ave. have left to visit in Boston, Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon G. Winkelman of Fairfield Ave. left on Sun.
day to spend the week in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon SchembeCk - left on Da inday for Chicago
where they will spend a few days as the guests of VIrs. Adolph Eisner.
Mr. and Mrs. Nate Plotkin of West Outer Dr. left on Saturday
for Atlantic City where they will spend a few weeks.

sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gordon of Durango Blvd., in Los
Angeles, Calif.
Harry Yanich of Leslie Ave. has been visiting with his children,
Rabbi and Mrs. Walter H. Plaut, a,t Herzl Camp, White Bear Beach,
Minn. Rabbi and Mrs. Plaut organized and are directing Herzl
Camp for the Northwest Zionist Region.
The Misses Dona Berlin and Leona Levenson of Sturtevant Ave.
left for a two-week stay at Camp Tamiment, Tamiment, Pa., in the
Poconos.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Steinberg of Webb Ave. have as their ;guest
for 10 days Miss Rose Rosenberg of New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Karbal of Webb Ave. have as their house
guest Mrs: Danny Rosengarteh of Miami Beach, Fla. The Karbals'
daughter, Norma Lee, is spending her vacation in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard M. Cohen and daughters, Judy and Elaine,
are vacationing at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles.
Miss Virginia Barnett, a student at Olivet College, Olivet, Mich.,
is home to spend the remainder of the summer with her parents,
Dr. and Mrs. Louis L. Barnett.
Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Cabot are now residing in Flint where Dr.
Cabot is continuing his training in dentistry for children at the
Hurley Hospital. The couple recently left Ann Arbor where Dr.
Cabot completed a year of graduate work at the Dental School.
Dr. Saul E. Barnett of the Belcrest Hotel has returned from a
visit at Sunset Lodge,. Charlevoix, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Shapero have returned from a two
weeks' motor trip in Canada.

The Misses Sylvia and Eileen Pikin returned from a two weeks'
stay in. South Haven, Mich.
