Mrs. Herbert Lindenbaum of
New York announces the engage-
ment of her daughter, Jeanne
Marilyn King, to Ramon Irwin
Gerson, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Myer Gerson of Oakman Blvd.,
Detroit.

Miss King, daughter of New-
ton King of Huntington, W. Va.,
and granddaughter • of Mr. and
Mrs. David King of Whitmore
Rd., Detroit, attended the Uni-
versity of Wisconsin. Mr. Ger-
son attended the University of
Michigan and was recently dis-
charged from the U. S. Naval Re-
serve after serving three years.
The wedding is planned for early
in September.

RABBI LEON FRAM of Temple -
Israel will attend the annual Insti-
tute for Methodist Youth, sched-
uled July 13-20, at Jurnonville, Pa.,
as a special leader sent by the Na-
tional Conference of Christians
and Jews, to lecture on intergroup
and interfaith understandin g.
More than 100 of these week-
long meetings are being conduct-
ed in all parts of the country.
Rabbis are conducting classes in
some 55 conferences. Following
his participation in the Jumon-
ville Conference, Rabbi • Fram
will meet with members and
guests of the Pittsburgh Round
Table of the National Conference
of Christians and Jews, at a
special meeting to be held in
Pittsburgh July 22.

as the guest of the Cuban Socialist
Youth League.

Lawrence Diamond is Chosen
On Interlochen Music Group
Prof. Earl V. Moore, direc-'tor
of the School of Music of the
University o f Michigan, an-
nounces that Lawrence Diamond,
son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Diamond,
has beea chosen to be a member
of the two-week All-State High
School music group conducted by
the University at the National
Music Camp, Interlochen, Mich.,
from July 22 to Aug. 4, This
music group will include three
separate two-week sessions for
band, orcheatra and chorus. The.
band will be directed by Dale C.
Harris, the orchestra by Elizabeth
Green, and the chorus by Mar-
guerite Hood. Guest conductors
will include William- D. Revelli,
Joseph E. Maddy and Maynard
Klein.
