Only immediate and large-scale action by American
Jews can save the remnant of 250,000 out of the 3,250,000
Jews of Poland who escaped Nazi extermination, declared
Dr. Emil Sommerstein, chairman of the Central Jewish Com-
mittee of Poland, before an audience that filled every seat
and crowded into the aisles of the Central High auditorium
last Sunday. • 4>

laughted. "Marlette said the

was born," she explained. "Sey-
