Betty Soss, a student at Olivet College, is home to spend the
summer vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Soss of
Balmoral Rd.
Maj. Theodore I. Cooper, who has been in service four years
including 21/2 years in India and China, is now on terminal leave
and with Mrs. Cooper.. is for the present making his home with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hamburger of Chicago Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Loewenstein of Warrington Dr. had as
their guests, last week-end, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller, Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Iglauer and their twin daughters, Jean and Marge,
Mrs. Elsa Buka, Mrs. Florence Weiler, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Silber-
man and their daughter Lynn, and J. B. Goodman, all of Cleve-
land.
Dr. and Mrs. Samuel J. Lewis have moved from Whitmore
Rd. and are now residing at 26691 Hendrie Blvd., Huntington
Woods.
Dr. and Mrs. Herbert I. Kallet of Muirland Ave. had as their
guests last week-end Dr. Kallett's mother, Mrs. Guida Kallett,
and his sister, Rose Kallet, of Syracuse, N. Y., Mrs. S. Saber and
her daughter, Barbara, of Miami Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Barney Ber-
man of Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Soss of Hamiltion Dr. had as their
guests last week-end Mrs. M. Schlang and Mr. and Mrs. Desmond
Brown of New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Gordon of Parkside Ave. have returned
from a few weeks' stay in Hot Springs, Ark.
Miss Eleanor Scher of Chicago is spending 10 days with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sol Scher of W. Philadelphia Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis B. Daniels had as their guests last week-
end, members of their family, Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Stein, Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Stein, and Miss Connie Stein of Toledo, 0., and Mr.
and Mrs. Herman J. Sampliner of Cleveland.
Pvt. Bruce Polozker has returned to his post at Fort Devers,
Mass., after spending a few days' furlough with his mother, Mrs.
Jacob Polozker.

guests. last week-end, Mrs. Smilay's family, Mrs. M. B. Goff of Pitts-
burgh, Mr. and Mrs. Albert W. Goff of Buffalo and Harry Goff

Mr. and Mrs. William B. Isenberg of Edison Ave. have as their
guests for the week, Mrs. Esther Isenberg, Mrs. Max Isenberg and
Mrs. Floyd Rindskoff of New York.
Mr. and Mrs. David Segal of Greenlawn Ave. had as their
guests last week-end, Mr. and Mrs. M. Brenner, their daughter,
Annabell, and their son, Clarence, and Mrs. Wesley Woods of
Flint, and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Gassel of Atlanta, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. David R. Love and their daughter, Helen, of
the Wilshire Hotel returned on Thursday from a few days' stay
in Chicago.
Mrs. Edwin M. Rosenthal Jr. of Parkside Ave. returned on
Tuesday from Chicago where she spent •a few days with her
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Salzton.
Mrs. Peter Vass of the Wilshire Hotel is spending the week
in New York. Her daughter, Alice, returned last Friday from
Boston, where she attended Rockwood Park School, to spend the
summer vacation.
Miss Frieda Goldsmith has returned to New York after a
week's visit with members of her family. She was the house guest
of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert A. Gold-
smith of Kentucky Ave.
Mrs. Julius Howard of Los Angeles, Calif., is a guest at the
Book Cadillac Hotel while visiting with relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Salon of Longfellow Ave. had as their
guests last week-end, members of their family, Mrs. Harold Powell,
and her son, Kenneth, of Pittsburgh, Dr. and Mrs. N. L. Salon
and Joel Salon of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Joseph B. Heller and daughter, Harriet, of Atkinson Ave.
spent the last week-end in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvine G. Levy of Collingwood Ave. have as
their guest for a few weeks Mrs. Levy's mother, Mrs. Rose Levin
of Milwaukee, Wis. Her sister, Miss Goldie Levin of Milwaukee
and her nephew, Harold Levin, who is attending the University
of Michigan, spent last week-end with them.
- Mr. and Mrs. Louis Winkelman of Boston Blvd. have as
their guest Mrs. Winkelman's mother, Mrs. Carrie Goldbacher of
Philadelphia.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gluskin of Tyler , Ave. had as their
guest last week-end, Mrs. Lee Goldberg of Canton, 0.
MisS Dena Goldsmith of Duane Ave. who ha's left on a trip to
California will visit her brother, Morris Goldsmith, in Tuscon,
,Ariz. before returning.
Dr. andMrs. Arthur Miller have returned from Chicago where
Dr. Miller has just completed his residency at Michael Reese
Hospital and for the present are with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Sanurl Lipchinsky of Leslie Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. William Hordes of 2308 Calvert were hosts at a
brunch laSt Sunday in honor of two bridal couples: Miss Bernice
Rosenbaum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mac Rosenbaum, and Ben-
jamin B. Hertz, son of Mrs. Israel Hertz, whose marriage will be
an event of July 9; and Miss Freda Joy Sendler, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. I. Sendler of Flint, and Sidney Davidson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. M. Davidson of Flint, whose marriage will take place in
Flint on June 23.
