HOME FOR AGED met May 15

the SOS drive, during which the
home for Aged Auxiliary contri-
buted a truckload of canned
goods. Those wishing to have
their packages picked up should

will hold a bridge in the syna-
gogue social hall Monday at 8:30
p. m., proceeds to go to Percy
Jones Hospital for needles and

Detroit Club of PHI SIGMA
SIGMA sponsored a Mother-
Daughter luncheon May 11 at
the Statler. Mrs. David Seligson
gave a brief history of the group.

cluded Mrs. David Croll, and her
daughters, Eunice and Constance
of Toronto, and Mrs. Mortimer

thers - Daughters banquet at

SAH will hold its final meeting
of the season on Sunday, May 26,
at the Shaarey Zedek, at 2:30

Mr. Roska recently returned
from 42 months army service in
the Persian Gulf Command and
the European Theater of Opera-
tions.
June 25, the date chosen for
their wedding, marks the 27th
anniversary of the marriage of
the parents of the bride-elect.

Mlawer to Celebrate
Anniversary May 26
CHARLUP-HIRSCH: The mar-
riage of Lucille Hirsch, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Saul Hirsch of
Monterey Ave., to Bernard Char-
lup, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max
Charlup of Napa, Calif., took
place May. 1, in the Founders
Room at the Book Cadillac Ho-
tel, Rabbi J. S. Speka officiated.
The bride wore a white satin
gown with a sweet-heart neck-
line trimmed with seed pearls,.
a finger-tip veil with a crown
of matching seed-pearls adorn-
ing her head. She 'carried a
bible with two orchids and
streamers.
The bride's sister, Libby, was
maid of honor. Matron of Hon-
or was Mrs. Sophie Epstein. Her
bridesmaids were Rose Lieber-
man and Jeanette Silberstein.
Best man was Max Ornstein,
uncle of the bride.
Out of town guests included
the bridegroom's parents; Mrs.
Kolemeister of San Francisco,
and Miss Betty Udman of Pitts-
burgh.
Following the ceremony a din-
ner was held in the Washington
Room.
The couple flew to New York
for their honeymoon.
The newlyweds will reside in
Napa, Calif. -
The twelfth anniversary of
Mlawer Ungegend Verein will
be celebrated at a banquet Sun-
day, May 26, at Riviera Hall.
The dinner will be followed by
a program of entertainment. Miss
Rosalie Gross will render vocal
selections, accompanied on the
piano by Miss Betty Kovalsky.

Pioneer Women's May Dance
at Wayne Hotel Saturday
The Pioneer Women's Organ-
ization will sponsor a May dance
Saturday at 9 p.m. in the Fort
Wayne hotel. Mickey Woolf's or-

the Children's Home in Palestine.

U. S. Will Consult Jews, Arabs
Before Acting On Report
WASHINGTON, (JTA) — The
U. S. government is studying the
recommendations of the Anglo-
American inquiry committee on
Palestine and intends to consult
with Arab and Jewish leaders be-
fore making any definite decision
on the report, Acting Secretary
of State Acheson told diplomatic
aides of five Arab states.
