ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Mr. and Mrs. Sidney J. Imerman have moved into their new
home at 15728 Appoline. Mr. Imerman recently was discharged
Ervin the army.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barnett, their son, Harvey, and daughter,
Arleen, have returned from a trip to New York City. Harvey
recently was discharged after three years service in the army, two
of which were spent in the Pacific.
Mrs. A. Dovitz, of 2511 Cortland, honored her son and son-
In-law at a reception last Sunday in honor of their honorable dis-
charge from the army. Her son, Joe, was in service 33 months
and served for a year in the ETO with the Third Army. He
also was in France, Czechoslovakia and Germany. Her son-in-law,
Norman Silets, was accompanied here by his wife, Dora, and son,
Larry. He was stationed with the- Second Army at Ft. Bragg, N. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kahn of Santa Barbara Drive left for an
extended motor trip to Florida and California. They will be gone
several months.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Fauman of Los Angeles (Faye Rosenblatt)
are here on an extended visit with family and friends. They are
residing at 2611 Carter.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Brody and small daughter, Brenda Ann, of
3755 Wager, have returned from a few weeks' visit in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schwartz and granddaughter, Miss Suzanne
Zechman, have returned from their winter's stay in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Halperin spent the past week in New York.
Mrs. Arthur Victor has returned to her home in Buffalo fol-
lowing a few days visit with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Andrew Wineman of Hamilton Rd.
Mrs. Max Fruhof of the Book-Cadillac hotel has returned. from
Miami Beach, Fla., where she spent the last three months.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Katz of Burlingame Ave. have as their
guest Mrs. Katz' mother, Mrs. Edward Guggenheim of Lincoln, Neb.
- Mr. and Mrs. Leighton Steele of Monterey Ave. flew to New
York on Tuesday to attend the opening of "On Whitman Street"
the play written by Mrs. Steele's sister, Miss Maxine Finsterwald.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Fish of Highland Park, Ill., spent a few
days with Mrs. Fish's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Ziv of Wildemere, Ave., en route home from a visit in the East.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene J. Arnfeld of Strachcona Dr. have re-
turned fronf'-a visit in Hershey, Pa.
Lt. (j. g.) Stanley Jay Winkelman, who has been in the Navy
for the last two years, including Pacific service, is now on terminal
leave and with Mrs. Winkelman and their small daughter, Andra,
are for the present making their home with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Sidney Wallace of Canterbury Rd.
Mrs. Frank Wetsman and her son, Billy, of Boston Blvd., have
returned from a week in New York.
Mrs. Lawrence Marks of Mt. Clemens is spending a week in
Chicago as the guest of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Samuel Goldberg.
Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Franklin of Three Rivers, Mich., are
spending a fortnight in the city. They are guests at the Statler.
Alex Cohen of Calvert Ave. spent a few days in Utica, N. Y.,
visiting with members of his family.
Miss Ethel Steinberg has returned to her home in New York
following a few weeks' visit with her brother and sister-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Myron Steinberg of Webb Ave.
Mrs. Norman Helpert of Elmhurst Ave. is spending a week
visiting with relatives and friends in Toronto.
M/Sgt. George Schreiber of Los Angeles, who has received his
discharge after three years' service, including 11/2 years in the ETO,
is visiting his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Levine of
Sturtevant Ave.
Mrs. Rose Brown left last week by plane for a month's visit
in California.
Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Keller (Ruth Dworman) have - returned
from their honeymoon and for the present are making their home
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Dworman of Shrewsbury Rd.
Complimenting Miss Lois Schimberoff of Chicago, the fiancee
of her son, Leonard Stone, Mrs. David Stone of Chicago Blvd. and
her daughter, Mrs. Morris Markus of Fairfield Ave., gave a dinner
and shower on Thursday at the Wilshire hotel.
Lt. S. Joseph Fauman, who has been serving for 3• years as
a meterologist in the U.'S. Army Air Force, including a year in the
Pacific area, is now on terminal leave and is at home with his
parents, Dr. and Mrs. David H. Fauman.
Miss Ilonka Elleson has returned to her home in New York City
following a few days' visit with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Sidney Rosman of Sturtevant Ave.
Mrs. Harry Stocker of Devonshire Rd. has left for California,
where she will visit with members of her family.
Miss June Rosenblum, recently discharged from the WAVES,
is the guest of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Leon G.
Winkelman of Fairfield Ave.
Mr., and Mrs. Jacob L. Keidan have moved from the Belcrest
hotel and are now residing at 19185 Rutherford Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Friedman and their daughter, Renee, of
Ilene Ave., have returned from Miami Beach, Fla., where they
spent the winter months.
Mrs. David Greenbaum of the Rainier Apts. has returned from
Milwaukee where she visited with her children.
Mrs. David H. Margolis and Mrs. Charles Weisman returned to
their homes in Dayton following a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin
D. Lieberman of Chicago Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Jos. N. Keidan of Calvert Ave. are visiting their
son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. A. David Horowitz of Brook-
lyn, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Silverman, their son, Milton, and daughter.
Ruth, have moved from Martindale Ave. to 3331 Kendall.
