OMORROW morning when you're shaving in
your nice, warm bathroom . . . with hot run-
ning water, fluffy towels on the rack ... look at your-
self and think of the phenomenal luck Fate has
handed you.

Here you are . . . safe, eating well, your children
alive, and warmed by the greatest possession on
earth—FREEDOM!

The United Jewish Appeal needs $100,000,000.
That means that every Jew in America will have to
give with unprecedented generosity if we are to
meet this necessary and heroic quota.

your father decided to stay in Europe instead of
coming here?

If you were still alive, you and your children would
probably be in rags, starving, sleeping in a cellar (if
you could find a cellar), your body numb with cold,
lonely, hopeless, looking over your shoulder for the
next pogrom, crying to God "why halt Thou forsaken

Isn't it only just, that in the light of your brother?

The plight of the remaining European Jews is far;
far worse than that of other war victims. Most of
them are not receiving any aid from intergovern-
mental sources. They do not ask for preferential
treatment They hope merely to be raised to the level
of survival. They cry outto us, not for special favors,

but for life itself.

It's up to you to see it through. Give and help your
unluckier brothers. Give and save their • children.
