Harold B. Grass Returns;
Rejoins Father's Business

Harold B. Grass, formerly of
the Military Intelligence Service
in the European Theater of War,
has been honorably discharged
and is home af-
ter serving for
three years in
England, France
and Germany as
an interrogator.

man interpreters at the Dachau
concentration camp trials. He had
disclosed the fact that the outfit
in which he served, and which
was composed of 80 percent Jews,
was instrumental in tracking
down a group of SS men who
cold - bloodedly murdered 150
American flier's in a small Ger-
man town.
Mr. Grass has resumed his du-
ties at the interior decorating es-
tablishment of his father, Max

sonnel at the USO Club Tuesday,
April 16.
Passover packages were dis-
tributed to all bed patients
through the courtesy of Mo'os
Chitim and the Home Relief So-
ciety of Detroit. Packages were
also sent to Jewish patients at
the Veterans Administration Hos-
pital, Fort Custer, by the Bnai
Brith Auxiliary of Kalamazoo.
Through arrangements with the
post chaplain all ambulatory pa-
tients, and cadre that could be
spared were permitted leaves to
spend the holiday with their fam-
ilies. Services were conducted at
the .hospital on Thursday, April
18, by Rabbi Nathan Levinson
of Congregation of Moses of Kal-
amazoo. A Yizkor service was
held at the hospital on April 23.
Passover food was available in
the USO Club during the entire
