New Booklet Outlines
Cultural Adjustment
of Jews in America

"Education for Living as Amer-
ican Jews," • a booklet dealing
with the cultural adjustment of
Jews in America, has just been
published by the American Jew-
ish Committee.
Written by Israel B. Rappoport,
AJC educational consultant, and
illustrated with photographs and
charts, it outlines a program sup
plementary to that of the public
school system. It aims to help
American children accept their
Jewishness cheerfully and to for-
tify them to meet any unfavor-
able attitudes.
Designed for sponsorship by
the Jewish community, the edu-
cational program is to be carried
an in a new type of neighbor-
hood house—a combined educa-
tional, recreational and social cen-
ter.
Single copies may be obtained

partment, American Jewish Com-
