Shaarey Zedek Completes
Passover Service Plans

Passover services at Shaarey
Zedek will begin at 6:30 p. m.,
Monday, April 15. Rabbi Morris
Adler will preach during the first
day's service on Tuesday, April
16.
Rabbi Gershon G. Rosenstock
will preach on Wednesday, April
17. Cantor Jacob H. Sonenklar
and a choir of four male voices
will chant the Passover services.
Morning services will start at
8:45 a. in.
Rabbi Adler will preach at the
Sabbath service on April 20.
Rabbi Rosenstock will deliver the
sermon on Monday, April 22 and
Rabbi Adler will preach on the
last day of Passover, Tuesday,
April 23 when Yizkor will be re-
cited.
Evening services will begin at
6:30 p. rn. during the holidays.
A sium for the first born will
be held at 8:00 a. in. on April 15.
New compositions by Cantor
J. H. Sonenklar will feature the
Passover services. The choir will
consist of Joseph Cantor, Arthur
Scherr, Max Teitel and Allen
Sumetz.
Men's Club
The Men's Club staged a re-
hearsal for Passover and an eve-
ning of Jewish mix,ic last Wed-
nesday. Rabbis Adler and Rosen-
stock and Cantor Sonenklar con-
ducted a model Seder.

Bnai Moshe Elects
Tam ler President

Irwin Tamler was elected pres-
ident of Cong. Bnai Moshe at
the annual meeting held April 7.
He succeeds Harry Rosman who
held, the office two terms.
Sam Freedman was elected
vice-presidet.n. Eugene Weiss and
Dr. Joseph Starman were re-elect-
ed treasurer and secretary, re-
spectively.
Sidney Rosman, Louis Kepes
and Isadore Pollak were chosen
to fill vacancies on the board for
three year terms. They will serve
with John Adler, Joseph Brown,
Theodore Curtis, Milton Eisler,
A. Finkelstein, Alex Fisch, Ben
F. Goldman, Alfred Gunsberg and
Carl Rozner, who hold over.
Tamler is completing his third
term as vice-president. Mr. Ros-
man had served two terms in
1925-27,

Beth Aaron to Hold
Passover Services
In New Synagogue

A joint meeting of the mem-
bers and the sisterhood of the
Beth Aaron Synogogue was held
at the home of Mr. Carl Krupp,
its vice-president, who presided
in the absence of the pr-.sident,
Mr. A. Margulies.
The synagogue will be comple-
ted in time for Passover services,
which will be held as follows:
Monday, 6:30 p. m., Tuesday, 9
a. in. and 6:30 p. in., Wednesday,
9 a. in.
After Passover, the synogogue
will hold regular Sabbath services
every week, to which all in the
northwest section are invited.
The synogogue will be formal-
ly opened and dedicated on Fa-
thers' Day, June 16, at which
time it is planned to hold ser-
vices. Attempts are being made to
secure the services of a promi-
nent cantor. •
The following entertainment
committee was appointed: C. Gell,
chairman, M. Harris, H. Becker,
S. Drapkin and S. Seligson.

man of the Shaarey Zedek educa-
tional committee, will speak at
the service on April 17.
Pupils Plan
Sunday School children will at-
tend special Passover assemblies
on Sunday morning, April 14.
Four separate assemblies will be
held for the children in the first
eight grades. The assemblies . will
be held at 9:30 a. in., 10:10, 11::10
and 11:45. Featured will be a
model Seder and Passover songs.
The musical program will be
under the direction of Moe Kes-
ner, instructor in music in the
Sunday School.
Assemblies for high school stu-
dents will be held in the Frank
Memorial chapel at 10:30 a. in.
and noon on April 14. Rabbi
Morris Adler will address the
students. The assemblies will be
directed by Norman Drachler.

Rabbi Sperka to Talk
On Allied Campaign
At Passover Services

Rabbi Joshua Sperka of Cong.
Bnai David will - occupy the pul-
pit and preach the sermon on-the
first day of Pesach, Tuesday,
April 16, on the subject, "From
Servitude to Service." The ser-
mon will deal with the objectives
as well as the obligation of the
approaching Allied Jewish Cam-
paign.
On Wednesday, April 17, Rabbi
Sperka will speak on "The Count-
ing of the Sefirah."
On Sabbath Hal Hamoed Rabbi
Sperka's sermon will be on "The
Song of Songs."
Cantor Hyman J. Adler will of-
ficiate at all services. Evening
services will begin at 7 p. in. and
morning'services at 9 a. in.
Sunday, at 10 a. m., the religi-
ous school will hold its annual
school Seder in the social hall of
the Synagogue. The Seder will be
conducted by Rabbi Joshua Sper-
ka and Cantor Hyman Adler.
All children will participate in
the Seder, seated around set ta-
bles carrying out all symbols and
customs of the religious Seder
table.
