The unveiling of a monument
over the grave of the late Abra-
ham Ainbinder will take place at
12 noon on Sunday, April 7, - at
TuroVer Cemetery, Qratiot and
14-Mile Road. Rabbi Joseph
Eiseriman will officiate. Rela-
tives and friends are invited to
attend the service.
In memory of my beloved hus-
band, the late Walter A.. Goldin
of 445 Richton, who passed away
on Feb. 14, 1946, a donation of
$100 was given to the Shaarei
Chesed Free Loan Society - of
Jerusalem, . whose purpose is to
aid the needy and European refu-
gees and to help them re-establish
themselves in the Jewish Home-
land. The donation was 'made
through Rabbi J. Eisenman, rep-
resentative of the society in the
U. S.
New Fur Salon Opened
Under Irving's Direction
A new fur salon, under the
direction of Mr. Irving, has been
opened in the Madison Theater
bldg. A brilliant collection of
new fur capes, jackets, stoles and
scarves are now on display. Re-
pairing, remodelling and cold
storage are among the services
being offered.
'Roberta' Last Offering
Of. Light Opera- Season
One of the greatest operettas
of all time, Jerome Kern's de-
lightfully entrancing "Roberta",
will bring the successful 10-week
season of the Detroit Civic Light
Opera to its close. The week's
engagement of "Roberta," with
the book and lyrics by. Otto Har-
bach, will _begin Tuesday night,
April 9, and continue through
Monday, April 15. There will be
seven evening performances and
a Sunday matinee.
Phineas Horowitz Dies ,
LONDON - (JTA)-Phineas Hor-
owitz, veteran Zionist leader,
vice-president of the British Zion-
ist Federation, died here.

Funeral services were held Sun,
day at Kaufman Funeral Chapel.
Burial was in Clover Hill Park
cementery. Surviving are his
wife, Bessie; two sons,-Arthur and
Bernard; a sister, Mrs. Bessie

ABRAHAM DUBRINSKY of
3267 Cortland, a resident of De-
troit - for 33 years, passed away at
the age of .70 on March 15. The
funeral took place from the
.Hebrew Benevolent Society with
interment at Clover Hill. He
was the founder of the United
Metals Refining Co., a member_
of Shaarey Zedek, member of the
board of Yeshvath Beth Yehuda,
member of Yeshivath Chachmey
Mizrachi, Hebrew Ben-
evolent Society and other organ-
izations. He was a strict Sab-
bath observer. He is survived by
his widow, Libbey; three sons,
Rubin, Phillip, and William; a
daughter, Mrs. Bessie Kornwise;
seven grandchildren. His grand-
son, Irving, is still with the U. S.
armed forces.

away March 11, at the age of 80
at Los Angeles. He leaves a
wife, Emma, a daughter, Mrs.
Harry L. Kopel; a grandson, Capt.
Hugh M. Kopel, U. S. A. D. C.,

Friedman, and a great-grand-
daughter, Joan Friedman.
