initiate *180 new members next
Tuesday evening at the Rose Sit-
tig -Cohen Bldg.
Mrs. Leo Jan.off, chairman of
the initiation committee; states

sulted largely from the efforts
of Mrs. David Ruby, membership
chairmapi, and her committee.
The initiation will be in charge
of the Pisgah lodge degree team,

For SOS Collection

Mrs. Charles Lakoff was elected
president of the Jewish Social
Service Bureau, succeeding Ben;
jaMin E. Jaffe.
Mrs, Lakoff has been a mem-
ber of the Bureau's board since
1941 and its vice-president since
1943.
The other Officer§s elected are:
Dr. Lawrence Seltzer, vice presi-
dent; Daniel Mendelsohn, treas-
urer, and Harold Silver, secretary.
The Jewish Social Service
Bureau is a family and child
welfare agency and is supported
by the Detroit Community Fund.
It is affiliated with the Jewish
Welfare Federation of Detroit.
