Cecil Brown Addresses 700
With Plea to Aid Survivors

Brown Memorial Chapel of Temple Beth El was filled
to capacity on March 27 when Cecil Brown, noted radio
commentator, stirred the 700 women present with his mes-
sage calling them to action in behalf of the current Emer-
gency $2,000,000 Allied Jewish Campaign. The large turn-
out at this women's rally echoed the city-wide interest in
the great drive, the success of which must be assured for the
sake of the future welfare of the 1,400,000 survivors, in-
cluding 150,000 children, many without father or mother,
and destitute in Europe.
Women's teas and other programs, being held this week
at homes of volunteer workers, are being utilized to present
campaign messages to hundreds of solicitors and to prepare
them to raise the women's division quota of $300,000.
