will review "A Partisan Guide to
the Jewish Problem" by Dr. Mil-
ton Steinberg, at the next get-
together service of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek, on Friday eve-
ning, April 5.
Rabbi Morris Adler will be in
charge and Cantor Jacob H. Son-
enklar and his male quartet will
conduct the ritual portion of the
program.
The Oneg Shabbat to be held in
the social hall after the service,
will be in charge of Daniel G.
Cullen, a member of the Friday
evening service committee. There
will be community singing of
Sabbath songs and Rabbi Rosen-
stock will conduct a question and
answer period.
Mrs. Samson S. Wittenberg will
present a group of Sabbath songs.
Refreshments will be served by
a committee from the Sisterhood
under the chairmanship of Mrs.
Frank A. Wetsman. Members,
their families and friends are in-
vited.

Bnai Moshe Sunday School Pupils in Masquerade

Council Sabbath, dedicated to
the National Council of Jewish
Women, will be _observed at
Temple Beth El this Friday
night. Dr. B. Benedict Glazer
will preach on the subject, "Some
Basic Conditions for Jewish Sur-
vival."
Greetings will be extended in
behalf of the Council of Jewish
Women by Mrs. Joseph M. Welt,
national Council president, and
Mrs. Herschel V. Kreger, local
president.
A social hour, arranged by the
Sisterhood, will follow the ser-
vice.

Bnai Moshe Men's Club
Elects Alfred Gunsberg;
Installation April 30

Alfred Gunsberg was elected
president of Bnai Moshe Men's
Club at the annual election on
March 21. He succeeds Theodore
Curtis who twice held the chair
since the club was formed.
Saul Kling was elected vice-
president; Richard Deutsch, sec-
retary; Sigmund Jaulus, treasur-
er; Morris Rosman, Louis Kepes,
David Schwartz, Mitchell Feld-
man, Louis Pollak, Sam Freed-
man and Harold Marks, mem-
bers of the board. Additional
board members will be appoint-
ed by the president.
The new officers and directors
will be instilled on April 30 at
a public meeting to be addressed
by Rabbi Gershon Levi, of Can-
ada, brother of Rabbi E. A. Levi,
who recently was released from
the Canadian army after over-
seas services as Chaplain.

More than 500 persons crowded the ban-
quet hall of Congregation Bnai Moshe to wit-
ness the masquerade of the Sunday school
students on March 17. In addition to the
masquerade, a pantomime, play, puppet show
and radio skit were given. First place in the

masquerade was won by Dolores and Kathleen
Loeffler (first row, center). In the rear center
stands Walter Farber, director of the Bnai
Moshe Religious School, and on the extreme
right stands Sam Freedman, chairman of the

Mass., who has taught at the
Graduate School of Boston Uni-
'versity, will deliver the sermons
'at services of Northwest Hebrew
Congregation, in the Bagley
School, Curtis and Roselawn, this
Friday evening and Saturday
Morning.
Plans are being made for the
second annual donor dinner to be
held in June.

NW Cong. Men's Club
To Form Scout Troops

Men's Club of the Northwest
:Hebrew Congregation announced
plans for the formation of a boy
and a girl scout troop. Morris Las-
ser and William Plotkin were
appointed chairmen of the com-
mittee to organize the group.
Cub boy and girl scouts will in-
clude children from 9 to 12, and
boy and girl scouts from 12 to 16.

Freedom Team of the North-
west Congregation Men's Club
Bowling League clinched first
place by sweeping four points
from last place Justice. The
championship team is composed
of Manny Lax, Joe Mehr, Dave
Aaron, S. Avrin and Sam Per-
nikoff.
Bill Plotkin of auxiliaries con-
tinued to lead in individual high
averages with 173, a five ponit
lead over second place Sam Bi-
coll.
