Dr. and Mrs. Bernard R. Berman (Ruth Rothenberg) and son
Richard Jordan, are leaving for Chicago where they will make their
home after April 1. Mrs. Berman's mother, Mrs. N. Rothenberg
will leave next week to visit with them.
Mr. and Mrs. I. Kaplan of 2472 Glendale will have open house
from 3 to 10 p. m. Sunday, March 31, in honor of their sons, Sidney
Samuel and Barney, and their son-in-law, Hy Koenigsberg, all of
whom recently returned from service with the U. S. Army. All
had been in active service overseas. No cards.
Barbara Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Brown of
19235 Strathcona Drive, flew home from the University of Illinois
at Champaign, to be with her parents before they leave for Miami
Beach, where they will visit with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Brown of 1915 Longfellow.
Mrs. H. Setnor of Winnipeg, Man.,. has returned home after
a month's visit with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Galsky of 18200 Woodingham Dr.
Miss Yetta Schwartz whose marriage to Reuben Shapiro of

named assistant legal adviser to
Secretary of State James F.
Byrnes.
A member of the Detroit Bar
before entering the armed forces,
in which he served as Captain,
Dr. Freeman was head of the in-
ternational division of the Judge
Advocate General's department.
He is a graduate of University
of Michigan and Harvard 'Uni-
versity and studied in Switzer-
land. He is the author of an im-
portant book on international
law.
