20-year-old Jimmy Lip ton .
Since being named "Radio Find
of the Year" by Radio Daily,
trade magazine of the wireless,
he is a much sought after lad for
drama roles via the air waves
. . • The Central High graduate
. . cliss of '44 . . . was on the
"Lone Ranger" program before
entering service . . and follow-
ing his discharge was cast on
"Henry Aldrich" . . . Then came
the break which brought him the
Radio Daily award for his role
as a Psycho-neurotic war veter,
an on a CBS coast-to-coast
broadcast of "Assignment Home"
. . . At the rate he's going, Jimmy
will have a hard time breaking
away to study law . .. his real
love.

is the dream come true of a group
of people whose patient efforts
throughout the years has finally
made their vision a long-awaited

made up of the folks who met
for services downstairs in the
homes of Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Levine and Mr. and Mrs. Alex
Marolgis . . . The synagogue was
named after the father of Mr.
Margolis, who is president of the

HIAS Aid Permitted
To Enter British Zone

FRANKFURT, (JTA) —Brit ish
authorities have granted per-
mission for Morris Kraicer to
enter the British zone of Ger-
many to represent HIAS there
and at Bremen, departure point
for immigrants from the Ameri-
can zone to the United States,
Ilya Dijour, HIAS director for
Germany and Austria, announced
here today.
Graicer, a former secretary of
the Canadian branch of HIAS,
will handle "non-quota" and "pre-
ferential" immigrants, who are
the only immigrants from the
British zone permitted to enter
the U. S. under President Tru-
man's directive facilitationg im-
migration of refugees and dis.

Earlier Deadlines Set for
Two Passover Week Issues

Passover will be observed during the week of April 15
through April 22.
The first Passover Seder will be •observed on Monday
night, April 15. The first two days of Passover fall on Tuesday
and Wednesday, April 16 and 17. The two concluding days of
Passover occur on Monday and Tuesday, April 22 and 23.
On account of Passover, our readers and publicity writers
are asked to note the following holiday deadlines:
For our issue of April 19, all copy will hive to be in the
hands of the editor before 2 p. m. on-Friday, April 12.
For our issue of April 26, all copy will have to be in the
hands of the editor before 2 p. m. on Friday, April 19.
Copy reaching our office after these deadlines will be
retained for later issues if timely.

Spring Dance ARM 20

Young Women's Mizrachi
Fashion Show Wednesday

Masada, young men's Zionist
organization, will have its an-
nual Spring dance on April 20 at
the Old Colony Club. Music will
be furnished by Jimmy Strauss'
orchestra. The community is in-
vited.
Leonard Baruch, president of
Wayne University's Mackenzie
Union, is general chairman of the
arrangements committee. He is
assisted by Bill Fitzerman, print-
ing; Jerome Ash, patrons tickets;
Hershel Levin, booklet; Marvin
Hoffrichter and Ernie Veis,
tickets.
Proceeds will be used for the
Jewish National Fund, for the
Palestine forest being planted by
the national organization,
in
honor of servicemen. •
Young Men's Z. 0. is open for

Mrs. Jack Dunn is ticket chair-
man of the Young Women's Miz-
rachi Fashion Show and Lunch-
eon to be held Wednesday, March
27, at Webster Hall.
Mrs. Sol Strager and Mrs. Har-
ry Shuman are chairmen of the
affair. Proceeds will be used to
further the constructoin of the
Children's Village in Rahanna,
Palestine, which will house 500
additional refugees.
