at a meeting on March 11 at the
home of Mrs. J. Berman on Hart-
well Ave., heard a report from
Mrs. Ray Rubin that the syna-
gogue on Wyoming and Thatcher
will be completed soon and that
the celebration will be held May
19. The Sisterhood is planning a
card party. A family dinner party
is planned for May 12 at Lachar's
in celebration of Mother's Day.

is sponsoring a USO breakfast at
the Jewish Community Center on
March 24. There will be a charity
luncheon on March 27 at 1 p. m.
in Kern's Auditorium, proceeds
to go to the Save-A-Child pro-
gram. The next business meeting
will be held April 1.

and a puppet show. All inter-

Proceeds of t h e Jr. Hadassah
dance held March 9, totalling
more than $1,300, will go for the
organization's projects in Pales-
tine.

WOMEN OF BNAI BRITH, an-
nounces that the March 25 meet-
ing will have as guest speaker,
Allen Bernstein of the Jewish
Vocational. Guidance Bureau.
He will talk on "Aptitude in Oc-
cupation". Mrs. R. Sanders will
talk on the importance of the
United Jewish Appeal. The meet-
ing will be held at 8:30 p. m.
at Bnai Moshe.

PIONEER WOMEN'S CLUB 2
honored Dr. S. Kamanetzky,

representative of the -national of-
fice, at a meeting at the home of
Mrs. S. Bonin on March 10, and
at a luncheon at the home of Mrs.
Charles Handler on March 14.
Mr. and Mrs. Handler were
honored by the club on their 40th
wedding anniversary. Honoring
the occasion, the Handlers con-
tributed. $40, in addition to their
previous $120 gift to the Pioneer
Women's child building fund.
Club 2 will have a special meet-
ing Monday at 11812 Linwood, in
celebration of Purim. Friends are
invited to attend the meeting

Witus Brothers
Out of Service

The four Witus brothers, Ray,
Carl; George and Harry, all have
recently returned from overseas,
after serving a combined total of
over 17 years.
Dr. Carl Witus, formerly a
Captain in the Medical Corps,
has reopened his office as a pedi-
atrician at 651 Fisher Bldg. Ray
Witus, who did intelligence work
on cartels and Germany's for-
eign penetrations, has resumed
practice as a Certified Public Ac-
countant at 725 Dime Bldg.
George and Harry, both in the
Air Corps have accepted posi-
tions with the Internal Revenue
Bureau. Friends may reach

Variety Show Sunday

Mezeritcher Social Club's va-
riety show will be held at 8:30
p.m. Sunday. Proceeds of the
show, which will take place at
the Brown Memorial Chapel of
Temple Beth El, will go to char-
ities. Samuel B. Gutterman is di-
rector. Mrs. Robert Gutterman,
Mrs. Norman Davdison, Mrs. Al-
len A. Saltz and Barbara Traub
