Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tatken of Sturtevant Ave. were at home
on March 10 in honor of their brother-in-law and sister, Capt.
and Mrs. Albert Kaplan. Capt. Kaplan recently returned from
the C-B-I where he served in the U. S. Army Dental Corps.
Capt. and Mrs. Albert Kaplan of 14th St. had as their guests
last week-end Dr. and Mrs. Robert Robin of Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Shorr, formerly of Ann Arbor, now are re-
siding at 19214 Woodingham.
Sgt. Harry Kief, MM 2/c Morris Kief and T/Sgt. Sol Segall
have received their discharges from the armed forces.
Miss Betty Goldberg of the Belcrest, who is vacationing from
Kingswood School, Cranbrook, left with her mother, Mrs. Louis
Goldberg, on Wednesday to spend a fortnight in New York and
Washington.
Mr. and Mrs. Ruben H. Isaacs (Irene S. Weingarden) have
departed from Olympia, Wash., where Mr. Isaacs received his
army discharge after serving three years. They are visiting in
Los Angeles en- route home to Detroit.
Open house was held March 10 for Morris and Louis Eisenberg.
Louis returned home in August, 1945, after spending 22 months
overseas, having been in service 32 months. His brother Morris just
has returned from Germany after 43 months' service, 16 of them
overseas. It was a triple occasion for joy as the engagement of
Reva Cohen to Morris was announced later in the evening.
Mrs. Simon Rotter of Glendale Ave. entertained a group of
friends March 7 in honor of her cousin, Mrs. Adeline Weinstein
of Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mrs. Simon Rotter (Ilene Posner), Miss Bertha Robinson and
Miss Ruth Stone are spending the weekend in Chicago where they
will attend the wedding of Miss Beatrice Jacobs to Sheldon
Somelowitz of Brooklyn, N. Y.
Miss Annabelle Feldman, March bride-elect, was feted at a
miscellaneous shower given for 60 guests by her sister-in-law, Mrs.
1Vlaynard M. Feldman, at the Wilshire, on March 5.
Miss Edythe Kaminsky has returned from her studies at Michi-
gan State College to spend the spring vacation with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. M. Kaminsky of Buena Vista Ave. Her roommate, Miss
Charlotte Snyder of Long Island, N. Y., accompanied her and
will remain as the guest of her uncle, J. Heller of Atkinson Ave.
Miss Miriam Bernstein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Bern-
stein, 2400 W. Boston Blvd., is home for her spring vacation from
Rockwood Park school, Boston, Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Enggass of Cumberland Way have re-
turned from a vacation in Palm Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Levin of Strathcona Dr. returned last
Friday from a six weeks' stay in Los Angeles and Palm Springs,
Calif., where they were guests at the Racquet Club. Mrs. Levin's
daughter, Dene Laib, who is attending George School near Phila-
delphia, is spending her 10-day spring vacation with her family.
Mrs. Douglas I. Brown of Lucerne Dr. is spending the week in
Atlantic City where she went to attend the National Convention of
Girl Scouts.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Weisman of Stiffolk Dr. left last Sunday for
a week in New York City. Their daughter, Nancy, plans to join them
this week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. Felix Mahler of Whitmore Rd. have returned from
a few weeks' stay in Havana, Cuba.
Mrs. Harold Schlessinger of the Lee Crest Apartment has re-
turned from Memphis, Tenn., where she spent a few weeks visiting
friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Nate Shapero of Strathcona Dr. and Mr. and Mrs.
Sidney Allenof Lincolnshire Dr. have returned from a month in
Boca Raton, Fla

Mr. and Mrs. Louis B. Heavenrich of Mendota Ave. have re-
turned from Coronada Beach, Calif.. where they spent a few weeks
with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Heavenrich.
Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Wittelshofer of Boston Blvd. have returned
from Palm Beach, Fla., where they spent the last month as guests at
the Whitehall Hotel.
Mrs. Leighton G. Steele of Monterey Ave. have returned from
New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving T. Oberfelder of Canterbury Rd. returned
Tuesday from Havana, Cuba,- where they spent the last few weeks.

H. Kushner, son of Mr. and Mrs.

the Bnai David Synagogue on
Jan. 27. Rabbi J. S. Sperka per-
formed the ceremony.
Bernice Schaengold, sister of
the bride, was maid of honor.
Thelma Reinstein, Lenore Sweet,
Libby Golaner, Shirley Diamond
and Lillian Miller were brides-
maids. Alicia Karen Greenberg,
the bride's niece, was flower girl.
Abe Kushner, the bridegroom's
brother, was best man. Jerome
Lerer, Nathan Rubin, Gilbert
Golaner, Cpl. Harold Magee. and
Ronald Stern were ushers.
The couple traveled to Ohio,
Kentucky and Missouri for their
honeymoon. They will make their
home in Detroit.

The pictures were accompanied
by complete information as to
age, weight, birthplace and oc-
cupation of parents.
The meeting was attended by
a committee from the Federation
of Polish Jews, headed by Morris
Mohr, president, who paid tribute
to Ezra for its devotion to this
work.
The next buffet dinner will be
held March 31, at 7:30 p. m., at
the home of Mrs. J. Hershman,

March 30. Mrs. David Kliger,
president, will preside. The guest
speaker will be Miss Marion
Ryan, Horne Service Adviser of
the Detroit Edison Co., who- will
speak on "New Trends in Foods
and Equipment."
This meeting was arranged by
Mrs. L. Orecklin and Mrs. N.
Sandler, co-chairmen of pro-
grams.
Luncheon will be served at
