Mr. and Mrs. Harry Yanich of 2319 Leslie have as their guest
this week their daughter, Mrs. Walter H. (Hadassah) Plaut. Mrs.
Plaut was a delegate to the National Federation of Temple Sister-
hoods in Cincinnati where she visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jonas
Plaut. Rabbi and Mrs. Plaut are now residing in St. Paul, Minn.
Mesdames Sam Fleisher, Ruby Hollander and Barney Brooks
will give a bridal shower for Miss Bobby Siegel Wednesday
evening at the home of Mrs. Hollander, 1737 Lawrence. Miss
Siegel will become the bride of Mike Hollander the latter part
of March.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Krasnow, formerly of Detroit, will cele-
brate their 25th wedding anniversary March 17 with a dinner at
'-the Beverly Hills hotel, Los Angeles.
Moe Ehrlich and Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Goldman and daughter,
Annette, of Sturtevant Ave. have returned from a month's trip
to Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith of 1864 San Juan will have
open house Sunday, March 17, 2 to 5 p.m. in honor of the return
of their son, Sgt. Albert Smith, who served with the U. S. Army
for the past 38 months, having seen service in the European and
Pacific theaters of war. He has just received His discharge. No cards.
Mrs. Eva Seidenfried of 3222 Richton will hold open house on
Sunday, March 17, 3:30 to 6:30, in honor of the wedding of her
daughter, Roslyn, to Daniel Haron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Haron
of Taylor Ave.
Mrs. Elsie Levett, who has been visiting her sister and brother-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Irving I. Miller of Lawrence Ave., has re-
turned to her home in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Cooper of 12674 Stoepel announce the
graduation of their daughter, Henrietta, a member of Pi Delta
Epsilon, honorary collegiate journalism fraternity, from the Jan-
uary 1946 class of Wayne University.
Dr. and Mrs. Adolf W. Lowe (formerly Lowenstine) of 3283
Lawrence will hold open house on Sunday,'March 17, 4 to 7 p. m. in
honor of Dr. Lowe's return from 41 months of service with the
Army. No cards.
Mrs. Abe Zeff, 3557 Montclair, is spending a six-weeks' vaca-
tion in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Irving B. Davis and Mrs. Leslie Kay entertained for Miss
Mariam M. Hoffman of Taylor Ave., before she left for New
York City where she will continue her nursing training.
Miss Lillian Betman-, who served in the U. S. WAVES for the
past three years, has recently been honorably discharged, and has
just returned from Mexico City, where she visited with her
relatives.•Miss Betman is now making her home with her cousins,
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Meister on Ewald Circle.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Danto, Robert V. Danto, Mr. and Mrs.
Arnold Wolfson and Bobbie Wolfson attended the Bar Mitzvah
of Alan S. Kahn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kahn (Fritzie Danto),
formerly of Detroit, at Rochelle, N. Y., recently. Alan's twin uncles,
Charles and Richard Danto, of the Merchant Marine, returned from
Germany in time to attend the Bar Mitzvah. Mr. and Mrs. Kahn
entertained the family and friends at a dinner on March 3 at
Larchmont, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Levine entertained 15 friends of their
daughter,. Marian, in their home on Santa Barbara Dr. Marian's
gift from her parents was given to the Red Cross at Bagley
School where she attends the first grade.

Ill. is home

Mrs. Louis' Tamaroff of 2947 Collingwood has returned from a
five-week trip to Miami Beach where she visited with her rela-
tives, Mr. and Mrs. L. Bertman and Mr. and Mrs. M. Drapkin,
formerly of Detroit. Her son, Cpl. Marvin Tamaroff, who was
reported missing in March, 1945, and later was reported a prisoner
of war, has returned from service and is now attending the General
Motors College of Engineering.
Mr. and Mrs. David Jacob and their son, Tony, of Hatwell Ave.,
have returned from a visit in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Isadore Gallow of Calvert Ave., is spending 10 days in
New York where she is the guest of her son-in-law and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Salwen.

Pfc. John Redfield who recently received his discharge after
three years' service, including 18 months in the Pacific, is enrolled
at the University of Michigan. He is the grandson of Israel Cohen ,
of Afton Rd.
