The program Sunday was
"social" in nature, .but it also
included a serious message on

2,200_ Seek Admission
The response of Detroit Jewish
youths to the call for the meet-
ing was so overwhelming that,
by the end of the afternoon,
some 2,200 you men and young
women had sought admission. Al-
lowing for a 100% turnover
among those who were able to
get into the ballroom, aboUt 700
persons `took direct part in the
program and, according to five
friendly policerrien who helped
keep the hotel lobby reasonab13,
clear, an additional 1,500 were
turned away—but, fortunately,
not until most of them had filled
out cards registering their in-
terest in the program of the
group.
Plans previously were made to
accommodate 350 persons.
--The- arrangements committee
had .mixed feelings about it all:
they were sorry that such large
numbers could not be accom-
modated; they were delighted
that so many displayed an inter-
est in the opportunity to
"socialize" under community
auspices with the returnees from
the armed forces.
Accepted in' Good Spirit
For those in the' overflow
group, it was a disappointment
accepted in good spirit.
Announcement was made that
a 're-organization meeting of the
Junior Service Group will be
held next SundaY afternoon,
March 10th, at thfee o'clock in
the Brown Memorial Chapel of
Temple Beth El, Woodward at
Gladstone. At that time, steps
will be taken to re-establish the
group, both for campaign work

programming and service. Rabbi
Eliezer A. Levi, of Congregation
Bnai Moshe, will be the speaker.
