school auditorium, Sunday eve-

made this week declared that the
enthusiasm shown in the drive
by workers and contributors in-
dicates an understanding of the
needs. "It demonstrates our soli-
darity with the Histadrut, the
pioneers and builders of Pales-
tine, in their efforts to bring
Jews to Palestine," he declared.
"Our quota, the largest we have
undertaken, can and will be
reached if all of us exert our=
selves in equal strength with the,
Palestine pioneers."
Entitled to Tickets
It is announced by the cam-
paign committee that all organ-
ization delegates and contributors
of $12 or more will be entitled to
adinission tickets to the closing
festival. Tickets can be obtained
upon turning in. pledges at the
campaign office, 9142 Linwood.
A special prograM is planned
in view of the 25th anniversary
of the Histadrut.
By action of the executive
council of the Detroit and Wayne
County Federation of Labor ; a
special committee was selected
to assist in presenting -the Hista=
drut program and financial needs
to all affiliated locals. With Ber-
nard Harris as chairman, the
committee include:. Finlay Allan,
John Paris, IrVing Bronson, Jack
Robinson, James Nonen, Jack
Starey, Myra Wolfgand and Jacob
Keller.

visit to Palestine where he and

campaign rally on Thursday eve-
ning, March 7, at the Rose Sittig
Cohen auditorium. Mr. Wechsler,
treasurer of the League for Labor
Palestine, is a leader of Hista-
drut activities in New Jersey.

Broadstreet has been discharged
from the Army after being in
service in the Infantry since Jan-.
uary, 1943. He served 18 months
in. the Pacific and saw action in.
tt_e Philippines, Guam and sev-
eral other islands in the South
Pacific.
His brother, Seymour, is in the
Army and is stationed in Ft. Mon-
moutk . N. J.
They both, were graduated
from Central High School.
