Chautauqua, Youth Groups to Hold Sessions
A report on the most successful year in the history of the Jew-
ish Chautauqua society will feature the 11th convention of the
National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods which will be held
in connection with the U.A.H.C. Council.
A symposium on "Synagogue Youth and World Needs," in which
four rabbis will participate, will feature the third biennial conven-
tion of the National Federation of Temple Youth to be held March
1-3, prior to the U.A.H.C. Council.

The Young People's Society
of Cong. Shaarey Zedek will pre-
sent its first major postwar social
event on Saturday, March 23, in
the social hall. It will be a spring
dance honoring members who
recently have returned from
service. Jules Klein and his or-
chestra will entertain.

7,300 Lbs. of Supplies
Collected for Overseas

During the past seven weeks
the Sisterhood of Temple Beth
El collected 7,300 pounds of
clothing, food and medical sup-
plies for relief overseas.
A special committee packed 182
boxes which were sent to the
Joint Distribution Committee in
New York for shpment to Eur-
ope. Miss Edith Heavenrich and
Mrs. Oscar M. Zemon are co-
chairmen of the drive, which is
still in progress. Members of the
Temple and their friends are
urged to bring their contributions
to the Temple.
Rubenstein to Speak
At Bnai David Friday
The Friday Night Gatherings
at Cong. Bnai David will con-
clude at 8:30 p. m. this Friday.
M. Morton M. Rubenstein, di-
rector of the Religious Groups
Department of the Jewish Na-
tional Funds of America will be
the guest speaker. His topic will
be "Palestine in the Light of
Current Events".
Detroit Jews are invited to his
lecture and to the Oneg Shabbat
that evening in the social hall.
