Rev.,

For the Rev. and Mrs. Isaac

was an event of great signifi-
cance.
It not only marked their 50th
wedding anniversary, which they
celebrated at the home of their
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Israel Kardener of 2922 Ful-
lerton, but was also the reunion
of nearly their entire family.
Nine of their 10 children, their
wives and husbands and their
children attended this event in
Detroit. Only one daughter—Mrs.
Sidney Kalil of Toronto — was
unable to risk the trip to join
the rest of the family.
Detroit was selected for the
celebration because all could
make this the central spot for
the gathering.
Isaac and Etta Lockshin were
married in Russia 50 years ago.
They came to Canada 40 years
ago, were prominent for many
years in Winnipeg and recently
settled in Toronto.
Among those who attended
their 50th wedding anniversary

Their children, Nathan Lock-
shin and Mrs. R. Micanovsky of
Winnipeg, Mrs. Celia Pyes of
Chicago, Louis Lockshin of To-
ronto, Harry Lockshin of Mon-
treal, Mrs. Barney Snyder of
New York, Mrs. A. Oslik, Mrs.
Murray Maisel, Mrs. A. Zalenko
and Mrs. I. Kardener of Detroit.
- Also their relatives Hyman
Bolotin and Joe Houdek of Chi-
cago. All came with their wives
or husbands and their families.
