11 Servicemen Reunited at Berk-Selesnick Wedding; Rabbi Morris Adler Officiates Two thrilling events marked the manage last Sunday evening,_ at the Shaarey Zedek, of Miss Helen Selesnick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Selesnick, and Ernest Berk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Berk. The marirage was the first at which Rabbi Morris Adler officiated since his return from Japan, where he served as U. S. Army Chaplain; and it marked the reunion of 11 of the bride- groom's friends all of whom had just returned from active service, most of them having served overseas. She is the daughter of Simcha Nottinger, formerly of Kali aria. Her father, Simcha Nottinger, had a brother by the name of Aaron Hirsch Nottinger, who came to New York. He had a married daughter by the name of Hannah Philip. Hanna Philip's daughter, by the name of Alta, married a druggist whose name Rhia has forgotten. There were also two other sisters of Aaron Hirsch Nottinger, by the names of Rosa Levinson and Etka Men- del Gordon, who live in New York. The father, Simcha, had a a brother, Abraham, • and there are four children, Jacob, Deborah. Machlitzky and Chaika. The last three landed in America either in 1922 or 1923. If the above are in New York or not, she is not sure, neither does she know if they are married.
