Pi Tau Sigma at Wayne
To Induct Five Pledges

Pi Tau Sigma fraternity of
Wayne University will induct five
pledges into active membership
Wednesday evening, Feb. 27. The
ceremony will take place in the
fraternity house, 3203 Joy Road.
The pledges are: Arnold Eisen-
mann, George Lipshaw, Fred
"'Green, Harvey Tannenbaum and
Leon Balimsky, who. was accepted
in a special ceremony Feb. 4, .be-
fore leaving for the ,Arrny.
Members of the fraternity who
have returned from .service in-

Cohen, Eugene Radding, Paul
Mutnick, Max Snyder, Gerry
Richter, Alex Solomon.. and Ed

Recently returned from a - 'six
months' tour of European coun-
tries, Val Clare, CKLW news
editor, will address a city-wide
meeting spensored by the Pharm-
acist ServiCe Group next Wed-
nesday evening, at 8:30, in the
Jewish Center. The Pharmacist
Service Group is a section of the
Professional Division of the De-
troit Service Group.
A member of CKLW's staff for
eight years, he formerly was as-
sociated with newspapers in the
U. S. and Canada.
This meeting to which all Jew-
ish pharmacists and their wives
are urged to attend. also will in-
elude a report on the plans

Pharmacist Service Group with
regard to its participation in the
forthcoming Allied Jewish Cam-
paign, There will be no solicita-
tion.

Prof. Halkin, formerly a mem-
ber of the staff of the College of
Jewish Studies of Chicago, is
professor of literature in the In-
stitute of Religion in New York.
He is tire author of several books.
His latest book of essays is "The
Temporary and the Permanent
in Literature." His latest novel
is Ad Mashber"—"Leading Up
to the Crisis". Both books were
published by the Ohel Publish-
ing Co.
These lectures are sponsored
by the Kvutzah IVrith and the
Hebrew Teachers' Organization.
Bernard Isaacs is president of the
Kvutzah, and Michael Michlin
president of the Teachers' Or-
ganization.

Palestine program for members

latest Palestinian movies will be
shown. Mrs. M. Plafkin, cultural

will lead in group singing.
