into a sight like this which will greet the Anglo-American Inquiry
Committee on' Palestine when it will commence its hearings in
Palestine within a few days. Coils of barbed wires are shown, pro-
tecting a police station where armed guards are on duty 24 hours
a day, purportedly to prevent a new outbreak of terrorism.

A Joyous Moving Day for the former inmates of an Austrian con-

centration camp who wait beside their pitifully meager possessions to
move into modern apartments which once housed Nazi workers in the
Hermann Goering Works who were evicted through the efforts of the
Joint Distribution Committee with the cooperation of the U. S. Army.

Young Refugees pick up the bread of life again in an
outdoor class which will help train them to become pio-
neers in Israel's ancient homeland, with the aid of the
United Palestine Appeal through funds raised by the
United Jewish Appeal, which seeks $103,000,000 in 1946.

JWF Women's Division: Organized under the
presidency of MRS. JOSEPH EHRLICH, t he Women's
Division of the Jewish Welfare Federation of Detroit is
mobilizing forces to assist the forthcoming $2,000,000
Allied Jewish Campaign. Officers of the Women's Division
