Every man- and woman: in Detroit_
should enlist_ for service in the Allied
Jewish Campaign.
And not a single person's riame—,-
man's, woman's or child's—dare to be
omitted from the list of contributors
to the drive.
WORK AND GIVE — for Israel's
sake.

Participation by children of all
Detroit Jewish schools in the
tree-planting program of the
Jewish National Fund has given
great encouragement to land-re-
demption work here, according to
William Hordes, president of the
Jewish National Fund Council.
The children of the Shaarey
Zedek school raised the largest
sum for tree-planting, their share
being $1,670.
The United Hebrew Schools
are second with $471.
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah raised
$370.
Other schools and the amounts
they raised are:
Cong. Bnai Moshe, $125; Cong.
Bnai David, $105; Farband Folk
Schools, $55.50; Carmel Hebrew
School, $55.50; Northwest Hebrew_
Cong., $33; Sholem Aleichem In-
stitute, $18; Beth Itzchock, $16.50.
Pupils of the Carmel Hebrew
School also donated $250 for the
Settlement of a family.
Gerald Holman, JNF chair-
man of the school; Larry Eisen-
berg, winner of the first prize
for bringing in the highest
amount; and Edward Raztimna,
winner of the second prize, were
leaders in the drive. . -
Carmel Hebrew School asks all
parents whose children become
Bar Mitzvah to inscribe them in
the Golden Book of the Jewish
National Fund.

The JNF Ladies' Auxiliary has
expressed its thanks to -Dr. and
Mrs. M. .L. Wiser, to their rela-
tives and. friends, for honoring
the. Bar Mitzvah of the Wirers'
son, Raoul, with gifts of $625 to
the Jewish National Fund.
