Mr: and Mrs. Leo J. - Zuckerman - of '18090 Cherrylawri will be
honored. on their golden wedding anniversary at a reception at
the Book Cadillac Italian Gardens from 4 to 7 p. m. on Sunday,
Feb. 17:. They have two children, Mrs. •Sidney J. Allen and Elmer
V. Zuckerman, and two grandchildren, Lt. James R. Zuckerman,
now in Luzon, and Jay W. Allen.
Sgt . Albert Stein, who has been in service- three years and
who spent 21 months in the ETO, has been discharged and is at
home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Stein, and sister,
Sylvia,- of Pingree Ave.
Mrs. M. Malinof 3020 Blaine entertained members of the
Ladies' -Auxiliary of Koristishever Society in honor of Mesdames
Richman and Katz of Los Angeles, members of the Korostishever
Society in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Hershaft and family and Mr. and Mrs.
Philip Kay and sons have left to make their homes in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Halperin -and son, Jerome, are visitin
in Miami Beach where they will remain until -March.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Millner of Hazelwood Ave. are on a six-
week visit in Miami Beach.
• Mr. and Mrs. Ben August of Wisconsin Ave. entertained at a
dinner In honor of Mr. and Mrs.. Harry Davidson of Webb Ave.
who left to spend the winter in Mexico City and Los Angeles.
°Miss Pearl Rothenberg, bride-elect of. March 30, was honored
at a dinner and shower for 120 guests at the Latin Quarters by
Mesdames Samuel Levin, Harry Ribiat and Sam Rothenberg.
Cpl. Morris Goodman has • been honorably discharged from
the army, after three years of service, including a year overseas,
and is now making his home with his father and sister, Molly, at
2632 Elmhurst. • •
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Oppenheim of 3765 Pasadena will be hosts
at an open house reception in . honor of their niece and nephew, Mr.
and Mrs. Maurice Coggan, (Laverne Weiss of Beverly Hills, Calif.)

Miss °Sally Kavanau will leave Feb. 9 for a visit with her .sistey,
Mrs. Esther Sobel, 1123 Cypress, 'Santa Ana, Calif., until she enrolls
for the March_ term at the University of California • in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Donald A. Mahler. of 13100 LaSalle left by plane for San
Diego to join her husband. _:They are at the Coronado Hotel.

in Miami Beach, Fla.

have left for an extended stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Warsh, 3031 Lawrence, are holding open
house Sunday, Feb. 10, from 2 to. .8 in honor of their brother,
Hugh Warsh, who has, just returned from two and a half years
in the Pacific. No cards.
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Siegel, formerly of Hazelwood Ave., have
left ta make their home in Algonac, Mich. Prior to leaving they
were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. J. Lambert, Mr, and Mrs. J.
Gaynor, Mr.. and Mrs. A. Siegel, Mr: and Mrs. H. Krowitz, Mr. and
Mrs. N. Ginsberg, Mr. and Mrs. D. Nesmouw, Mr. and Mrs. L.
Robins and Mrs. Carrie Sperling. The 12th St. Mothers Club gave
Mrs. Siegel a gift at a party in her behalf.
Miss Anna Nadell of Chicago is visiting in Los Angeles with
her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marion Nadell, and grandchildren, Mr.
and Mrs. Irvin Fleischacker and their son, Alan. All are former
Detroiter's.
. Mrs. Joshua Karbal of Webb Ave. has left for Miami Beach,
Fla., where she will spend the rest of the winter.
-Sid Glaser, 3330 Tyler, recently returned from southwest Paci-
fic., where he spent 40 months as radar -technician with the Fifth Air
Corps-, is. motoring, with Al Berson, to Miami Beach and Havana.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerson Bernstein of 4025 Pasadena will be at
home this SUnday evening to their friends, honoring the return of
Mr. and Mrs. Milton.Bernstein to the city.
Capt. and Mrs. Larry Herman returned from a visit in Chicago
and Dayton. Capt. Herman, formerly with the army, engineering
corps, ds- on terminal leave:
S/Sgt. Hannan Kraft, in service three and a half years, has
received his_ honorable_ discharge and has returned to Detroit
with his wife, JoYce. They are residing with their parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Kraft, on Sturtevant .Ave. Both will resume their
studies at Wayne University:
Cpl. Jack Kaftan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kaftan, re-
turned home Jan. 31 from Nagoya, Japan, in time for the wedding
of his -sister at the Bnai David on Feb. 3.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Altman will hold open house at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. LOuis Goren, 2244 Tuxedo, Sunday, Feb, 10, 4 to 10
p.m., in honor of Sgt. Carl Altman, who has returned from service.

after a visit with her mother, Mrs. Joseph- Friedman, and her

• Mr. and Mrs. Leo M. Butzel of Burns Dr. are planning to leave
this weekend for Bocaratan, Fla., where they will spend the re-
mainder of the winter.
MisS' LUcille Michelson, who recently returned from Burma,
India, where she served for 14 months as club director in the
American Red Cross, is visiting her brother-in-law and sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan Schermer of the Lee Crest Apt. •
