Jewish Welfare Federation of
Detroit has designated all mem-
bers of its board of governors,
as well as membres of the board
of directors of the Detroit Ser-
vice Group, as official delegates
to the national General Assem-
bly of the Council of Jewish
Federations and Welfare Funds,
to be held in Detroit Feb. 8-11.
Except for a large mass meet-
ing on Saturday evening, Feb.
9, all meetings will be work ses-
sions, at which papers and re-
ports will be presented and dele-
gates will participate in the dis-
cussions.
Detroit is entitled to 11 votes
at the Assembly and these have
been assigned by vote of the
board of governors to the fol-
lowing members of the executive

committee: William Friedman,
president; Abraham Srere, chair-
man of the board; Fred M. But-
zel, chairman of the. executive
committee; Mrs. Joseph H. Ehr-
lich, Julian H. Krolik and Theo-
dore Levin, vice-presidents; Irv-
ing W. Blumberg, president of
the Detroit Service Group; Isi_
dore Sobeloff, executive direc-
tor; Clarence H. Enggass, Max
Osnos and Henry Wineman.

and Sobeloff are members of the
national board of the Council of
Federations. Mr. Wineman is a
former national vice - president
and Mr. Krolik also is president
of the East Central Regional

chairman. The feature will be a
travel talk by Mrs. Eliezer A.
Levi, wife of Rabbi Levi of the
Bnai Moshe Synagogue, who will
recount her experiences in the
Hawaiian Islands and in Sydney,
Australia. Current events will be
reviewed by Mrs. Saul Gordon,
group secretary, and there will
be singing of Palestinian songs.
Mrs. Samuel Asherson is in
charge of social arrangements.

Migdal Barn Dance

Proceeds to Hechalutz

Migdal Chapter, League for
Labor Palestine, announces a
barn dance to be held Saturday
evening, Feb. 9, at. Jericho
Temple, Joy Road and Linwood.
Proceeds will go to the Hecha-
lutz Organization of America to
assist in the program of training
and preparing American pioneers
for settlement in Palestine.
A professional folk dance caller
and orchestra will provide the
entertainment and direction for
the evening which will consist of
early American folk dances in-
terspersed with social dances and
Palestinian folk dances.
