A Hamisha Asa' r Call

To the Jewish Community

From the Palestine Committee

Of Vaad Horabonim

It has become a holy Jewish tradition to
plant trees in Palestine on the occasion of
Hamisha Asar b'Shevat, the Jewish New Year
for the Trees, in order to make our Holy Land
fruitful.
We therefore call upon all Detroit Jews,
in an hour when our interests are directed
towards the redemption of Eretz Israel, to ob-
Serve this tradition.

Let us plant trees on the hills of Judaea, in
order that we may enrich the land of the Jew-
ish future.

We call upon all synagogues, their ladies'
auxiliaries, Talmud Torahs and Yeshivoth=
young and old—to pay tribute to deceased and
to honor the living by planting trees in Pales-
tine, on Hamisha Asar, next Thursday, Jan. 17.
