Weisbrot and Merzon
Named Local Delegates
To Revisionist Parley

Aaron _ M. Weisbrot and M.
Manuel Merzon were named del-
egates to the national conven-
tion of the New Zionist Organ-
ization to be held at Manhattan
Center, New York, Jan. 5 through
Jan. 7.
One of the questions to be dis-
cussed will be the re-entry of
the New Zionist Organization
(Revisionist) into the general
Zionist movement, a strong fac-
tion favoring this course. There
is another faction, however, that
opposes it believing that present
Zionist• leadership has failed and
that independent Revisionist ac-
tion will produce better results
for a Jewish State in Palestine.
Another,matter to be discussed
will be the attitude towards the
Anglo-American Inquiry Com-
mission.
The local organization decided
to have a social meeting o n
Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Bnai -
Moshe, Dexter and Lawrence.
The convention delegates will re-
port at that time.

Rabbi Korff Steps Out
of Liberation Committee

WASHINGTON (JTA)-Rabbi
Baruch Korff of New York, one
of the leaders of the Hebrew
Committee of National Libera-
tion, announced his resignation
from that organization. He took
this step, he said, after coming to
the conclusion that the Commit-
tee "lost in a maze of maneuver-
ing;" lends aid "to enemies of
Zion," and is "seriously impairing
the chances of Jewish freedom."

By sheer dint without stint
I have given
To my people, to enliven hopes
Deep and dormant,
Which no torment can efface
In the turmoil of the race.
In the distance looming far
I decry
On the firmament a star,
Heartened by its lustre I repeat
Akiba's words: "Let no defeat
Discourage you; fight on and on!"
There are still Bar Cohbas. left
In our midst; lo, not bereft
Of courage alle our remnants.
For behold a star has risen
From the ranks 'of Jacob:
Fight on and on and on!
