Brown Describes Pulling
Power of Jewish News

Editor, The Jewish News:
Who dares say that your, paper
does not have pulling power?
That piece by Morris Waldman
and your editorial on my 70th
birthday brought such a flood of
letters, telegrams and phone calls
that I was completely swamped
and am just getting out from un-
der.
Many friends and well-wishers'
with whom I have had no per-
sonal contact for years were stim-
ulated to greet me on this birth-
day occasion and they had no
other way of knowing of it ex-
cept through The Jewish News
If your publication can sell
goods for your advertisers to the
same extent as it sold me to your
subscribers, then I'll say that it is
a good buy.
It was good to hear from so
many friends, for friends are what
makes life worth living, at least
one of the main things.
