Pre-School Class at Rose Sittig Cohen UHS Branch
Great enthusiasm is being shown in the pre-
school class of the United Hebrew Schools which
meets from 10 to 12 every morning at the Rose
Sittig Cohen Building:
The children range in ages from 3 1h to 5.
Miss Miriam Gold is the instructor. Solomon
Kasdan is principal of the school.

CLUB is planning .a Hanakuh
party at the home of Ruth Strom
on Saturday, Dec. 1, for members
and husbands. A contribution of
$50 was given to Vaad Hahatzala
to make up five packages for
Jewish refugees in Europe. An-
other party is planned in the
form of. a shower, adthittance to

Review of "The Wisdom of
Israel" at Center Nov. 29
"The Wisdom of Israel," a new
anthology, edited by Lewis
Browne, will be reviewed at the
next session of the Bookchat
Series at the Center on . Thurs-
day, Nov. 29, as part of the Cen-
ter's observance of Jewish Book
Week, by Philip Slomovitz, editor
of The Jewish News.
Bookchats are held in con-
junction with the Utley Branch
of the Detroit Public Library and
are open to the public without
charge. The program will be held
in the Center library and will
begin at 9 p. m.
The library has available for
distribution a list of books of
Jewish interest. The list may be
procured by calling at the Cen-
ter office or at the library.

Pre-Hanukah Holiday Hop
At Center Sunday Night
On Sunday evening at 9, the
Jewish Community Center will
present the Pre-Hanukah Holi-
day Hop, the 26th of the series.
Bobby Grayson and his orches-
tra, with Sally Romine, vocalist,
will provide the music.
Miss Estelle Starr and Danny
Raskin are co-chairmen of the
Holiday Hop Committee.
The auditorium will be deco-
rated with colorful motifs in
keeping with the holiday spirit.
