few weeks in New York City visiting with members of her family.

days in New York City where they are guests, at the Savoy Plaza

Mrs. Benjamin Krell Jr. of Cortland Ave. has returned from
Chicago where she visited with members of her family.
Mrs. George Kleinman of Calvert Ave. is spending a fortnight
in New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D. C., where she
will visit with members of her family.
Mr._ and Mrs. Morris Blumberg of Calvert Ave. returned on
Tuesday from a visit with their children, Pfc. and Mrs. Chester
Cohn. Pfc. Colin is stationed at Camp Edwards, Mass.
Mrs. Harry Newman of Lawrence Ave. and her daughter, Mrs.
Oscar Zemon of Roslyn Rd. are expected home this Saturday from
a visit in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Alpern of Mt. Clemens have as their guests
their son-in-law and daughter, Pfc. and Mrs. Mortimer Feldman.
Ensign Richard Thal, USNR, who recently returned from the
Pacific, is spending his leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis
Thal of Glynn Ct. His brother, S/1/c Donald Thal, who is stationed
at Memphis, Tenn., is expected home on leave next Tuesday.
Sgt. Ernest S. Hirsch, who has been in service 4 1/2 years, includ-
ing 3 1/2 years in the Pacific, has received his discharge and is. at
home with Mrs. Hirsch, who ha's been making her home with her
mother, Mrs. N. Friedman of Boston Blvd.

day from Biloxi, Miss., where she visited her daughter, Constance,
who is a dietician at the Keesler Field Hospital.

Cpl. Alvin Paul, son of Mrs. Florence Paul and the late Samuel
Paul, has returned home for a 45-day furlough after spending 25
months overseas in the European. Theater of War. He will be
at home to relatives and friends at 4050 Duane from 2 to 5 and
7 to 10 p. m. on Sunday, Nov. 18.
Cpl. Nathan Novograd is home at 1950 Oakman on a 20-day
furlough. He expects to be discharged by the end of the year.
Mrs. William Weiner and her son, Lewis, of New York City
are visiting here with Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Rose of 18253 Sorrento
and are being extensively entertained by relatives and friends. They
also plan to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dunayer , in Flint, Mich.
Pvt. Norman Schakne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schakne of
2525 W. Euclid, is home with his parents on his last furlough before
leavitig for overseas. His visit will extend during the major part
of this week.
