Marriages

WESTHEIMER - WELL ING:
The marriage of Miss Ruth Well-
ing, daughter of Dr. Benjamin D.
Welling of the Belcrest and the
late Mrs. Welling, and Robert
Irvin Westheimer, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Irvin F. Westheimer of Cin-
cinnati, was solemnized at 6:3C
o'clock on Monday evening, Nov.
12, in the English Room of the
Hotel Staticr. Dr. B. Benedict
Glazer performed the ceremony
before a beautiful white floral
background at an improvised al-
tar flanked with white flowers
and tall candelabra with lighted
tapers.
The bride who was given in
marriage by her father was love-
ly in her gown of white bridal
satin fashioned with a closely
fitted bodice, off shoulder neck-
line with a narrow Bertha col-
lar which had inserts of Chan-
tilly lace, long pointed sleeves,
and a very full skirt with sweep-
ing train. From a hugh bow of
the satin at one side of the waist
a panel of matching lace extend-
ed to the hem of the gown. She
wore a single strand of pearls.
Her fingertip veil of illusion was
fastened to a beaded bandeau,
and she carried a bible to which
were attached two white orchids
and a spray of stephonatis.
Mrs. Robert Schulman of
Washington, D. C., who was her
cousin's matron of .honor wore a
gown of emerald green faille also
fashioned with fitted bodice and
off shoulder neckline and long
sleeves, and a Pannier drape in
the back of the full skirt.
She carried a bouquet of yel-
low bebe mums and daisies and
wore matching flowers in her
hair.

Charles Westheimer of Cincin-
nati served his brother as best
man. Beside the parents of the
bridegroom and the attendants
the out of town guests included,
Mrs. Edward Heinsheimer, Mr.
and Mrs. David Weston, Mr. and
Mrs. Leo Weston, Mrs. Ferdinand
Weston, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Men-
derson, Edgar Menderson Jr., Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Tobias, and
Mrs. Charles Westheimer of Cin-
cinnati, Robert Schulman of
Washington, D. C., Sidney West-
heimer, Jr., Frank Westheimer,
and Corp Sue Jacobs of Balti-
more, Md., Mrs. Dana Baer of
Chicago and the Misses Edna and
Marguerite Welling of Petoskey,
Mich.
Following the wedding dinner
in the Michigan Room for the im-
mediate families the young coup-
le left by plane for a honeymoon
in Cuba, and upon their return
will make their home in Cincin-
nati.

At Center Monday

The Auxiliary of the Jewish
Home for the Aged will hold a
meeting and tea on Monday, No-
vember 19, in the social hall of
the Jewish Community Center,
Woodward at Holbrook.
Members and friends of the
Auxiliary and of Mrs. Anna Wer-
be are invited to attend this tea
being given in her honor. Her
paintings will be on display that
afternoon.
Mrs. Werbe, well known De-
troit artist, has been a member of
the Auxiliary for many years.
Officers will act as hostesses.
Tea will be served at 1:30 p. -m.
Mrs. George Koven, president,
will preside. The program will
be under the direction of Mrs.
David Kliger.
