Congregation to Pay
Rabbis' Premiums
On Pension Plan
CINCINNATI—A , unique .plan,-
heretofore entirely unknown in
the annals of the' Rabbinical
Pension Board; has been initi-
ated in Temple Israel, New
Rochelle, N. Y. Aaron W. Davis,
president of Temple Israel, has
created • a foundatiOn for , . the
benefit Of the rabbis occupying
the pulpit of that congregation.
The income of -the lOundation,
incorporated under th6 ;laws of
the state of New York, will be
utilized -to pay the rabbis' share
of the annual premium on their
pension policies provided for
under the Rabbinical Pension
Plan.
While in certain large 'church
federations the minister's part
of the premium is paid from
certain special funds established
for that purpose, this is the first
case that has been reported to
the board of an individual mak-
ing such provision for ministers.
Temple Israel has two rabbis,
both of whom have been entered
in the pension plan. The senior
rabbi is a navy chaplain.
O
utside interests have launched a powerful plot to seize the
government of the City of Detroit from the hands of the people,
to use it for their own selfish aims.
::.
They have no personal stake in this, your town, They are not
concerned about your schools, transportation system, police
protection and other essential public services.
Thpir all-out objective is to use Detroit as a lever to force
through their pet ideas of social and economical revolution on
a national basis. They are crusading for a nation-wide up-
heaval. The welfs are of Detroit does not hold No. 1 Priority
with then.
.
Keep your city government where it belongs—in the hands of
the people. Keep your City Hall at Home.
