Frank of Colorado Ave. and Mrs. David Wilkus and her daughter, Mary of Boston Blvd. have returned from a 10 day visit in New York City.. Miss Suzanne Ginsburg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. -Fred Gins- burg of Chicago Blvd. left for Boulder, Colo., where she will at- tend the University of Colorado. Mrs. William H. Stern of Chicago Blvd. left by plane for Los Angeles where she will spend a few weeks visiting with members of her family. Mr. and Mrs. Irving T. Oberfelder of Canterbury Road have returned from San Antonio, Tex., where they spent the last three weeks visiting with their son, A/C William Oberfelder, who is stationed there. Lt. (s. g.) Milton T. Doner, who has served with the USNR for the last 3 1/2 years, has received his discharge and is at home with Doner and their. small daughter, Jill, of Renfrew Road. Capt. Amson C. Tabor, who has been in service for the last three years, including two years in the ETO, has received his dis- eharge and with Mrs. Tabor are for the present making their home with her father, Walter Fuchs of Huntington Woods. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew B. Lorre of Kentucky Ave., have return- ed from New York City where they spent a week visiting with their family. Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Kline of Cortland Ave. have received word that their son, who is stationed in Guam, has been promoted and is now Lt. Comm. Allan H. Kline. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stein have moved from Afton Road and are now residing at 16615 Washburn Ave. Pfc. Sidney Weiner, who has been with the U. S. Armed Forces for 25 months, including 11 months in the ETO, has received his discharge and with Mrs. Weiner and their small daughter, Susan, are for the present making their home with their mother, Mrs. Harry Sklar of Chicago Blvd.. Their brother, 0/C Jerry Sklar, who has been in service 26 months, 20 months of which he spent in the ETO, also was discharged and is at home with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Crohn of Wildemere Ave. left last Friday for New York City where they joined Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jacobs and their daughter, Judy, of Glynn Ct., to motor home with them by the way of Montreal and Toronto. Pfc. Jay Hartman, who returned on Sunday from 19 months in the ETO, has received his discharge and is at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Hartman of Chicago Blvd. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Duke of Fullerton Ave. will have open house en. Sunday in honor of their son, Abe, who was recently discharged f rom the army after three years' service. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer Ellis . have returned from their honeymoon trip to New York City and Washington, D. Kramer, and their small daughter, Susan. Sgt. Kramer is on a 10-day leave from his post in El Paso,Tex. Mr. and Mrs. Julius Hartman of Edison Ave. have as their guests Mrs. Hartman's nephew and niece, Capt. and Mrs. Morton Fireman of Chicago. Capt. Fireman has recently returned from a year in the ETO. Mrs. Himon Kaplan of Roslyn Road and Mrs. A. Anthony Fromm of Huntington Woods have returned from a week's -stay in New York City. Staff Sgt. Don E. Gelbdrd, who has been in service for three years, including two years in the ETO, where he received a cita- tion from the French Government and the Bronze Star, has re- ceived his discharge and is now at home with his mother, Mrs. A. R Gelbard of Whitmore Road. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Appleby of East Orange, N. J., are guests at the Lee Plaza Hotel while visiting with members of their family and friends. Staff Sgt. Milton H. Chicago, before reporting to Fort Sheridan, Ill., where he will receive his discharge. Cpl. Y., Y. visited here this week with her mother, Mrs. Joseph Levin of the Farband Camp Efforts For JNF Are Outlined in Its Annual Review In the annual review of activi- ties at Farband Camp of the Jewish National Workers Al- liance, the camp committee an- nounced inscriptions in the Golden_Book, the Sefer Hayeled, the purchase of trees and -other contributions to the Jewish Na tional*Fund. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Max Goldfarb of Cleveland, who were guests at the camp, contributed a dunam of land and inscribed the new-born son of the Goldfarbs in the Sefer Hayeled. The name of Judith Drachler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Drachler, 18095 Appoline, was in- scribed in the Sefer Hayeled. Drachler is director of the camp. In honor of the 16th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Hoskin of Cleveland, 16 trees were planted.
