Mis. A. Waxman Dies;
-Detroiter for 39 Years
Mrs. Anna Waxman, a resident
of Detroit for 39 years and wid-
ow of the late Samuel J. Wax-
man, died at her home at 3216
Fullerton on Oct. 3 following an
illness of several months. She
was 64.
Mrs. Waxman was well known
for her efforts on behalf of the
Jewish community, having been
a member of the Turover Aid
Society as well as the ladies aux-
iliary since 1910. She also was
a member of the Yeshivath
Chachrney Lublin, Bicur Cho-
lem, Sisters of Zion Mizrachi and
Jewish Home for the Aged.
Funeral services were held at
the home, with Rabbis Stollman,
Eisenman, Levine and Wasser-
man officiating. Burial was in
Turover Verein Cemetery.
Four daughters and a son sur-
vive, Mrs. Rose Witt, Mrs. Ann
Hirschman, Mrs. Fannie Levin,
Mrs. Matilda Helfgott and Dr.
Harold A. Waxman; a brother,
Morris Galison, and eight grand-
children.
