Wedding Announced I Jewish Book Annual
To Mark Celebration

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur, Davis and his mother, Juanita, of New
Orleans, visited with Mrs. Davis' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Wineman of Hamilton Dr.
Mr. and Mrs. Alter Shrier of 18295 Parkside will be at home
from 7 to 10 p. m. on Sundays in honor of their son-in-law, Capt.
Raymond Conn, who has just returned from two years service in
the European Theater of Operations.
Mrs. Louis Greenblatt and daughters, Belle, Ruth and Mrs. Jack
Sandler, of Tuxedo Ave., entertained at a dinner for relatives
and friends in honor of the 16th birthday of Marge Ross of Forest
Hills, L. I.
Lt. Louis Spitzer who was with the Ninth Army in Europe
for 16 months, has just returned to the States and is now spending
his 30-day leave with his mother and brother at 2733 Pasadena.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Zaff of 2975 Fullerton, will hold open
house in honor of their son, Pfc. Harold Zaff who is home on a
30-day furlough, on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 3 to 7 p. m. Pfc. Zaff
recently returned from Germany...
Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Goldman and daughter, Jacqueline, of
Glendale Ave., are leaving Oct. 1 to make their future home in
Chicago. A farewell party was given by Mrs. Lou Kroll at the
Knollwood Country Club in -honor of Mrs. Goldman. Another fare-
well " affair was given by Mrs. Samuel Brown and Mrs. Louis
Wasserman at a luncheon at Hyler's.

Home Relief to Hear Red
Cross Speakers on Monday

Speakers from the Camp and
Hospital Service of the Ameri-
can Red Cross will speak on
"Past Experiences and Future
Needs" at the first meeting of the
season of the Home Relief Society
at the home of the president,
