ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Capt. and Mrs. Henry Berris and daughter, Jan Carol, are now
residing in Greensboro, N. C., where Capt. Berris was transferred
from San Antonio, Tex.
Mrs. Birdie Rosenberg, president of the Department of Michi-
gan of Ladies' Auxiliaries of Jewish War Veterans, has returned
from New York where she attended the national policy and ex-
ecutive committee meeting at the Park Central Hotel.
Pvt. John Ginn, who recently has returned from seven months
in Europe, is spending his 30-day furlough with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. John J. Ginn of Boston Blvd., before reporting to Camp
Lee, Va.
Lt. David Crohn, recently returned from a year and a half in
Europe, is spending his 30-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence B. Crohn of Wildemere Ave.
Major Ervin Greenbaum of Glynn Ct., who is stationed in De-
troit with the Army Ordinance Division, has been promoted to
Lieutenant Colonel.
Lt. Herbert Kessler, recently returned from Europe, is spend-
ing his 30-day leave with Mrs. Kessler at the home of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Bloomgarden of Edison Ave.
Gunners Mate 3/c Franklin T. Linx, who recently completed
special training at Bainbridge Naval Academy, Md., spent a few
days leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund B. Linx of Byron
Ave., before reporting at Newport, R. I.
F/O Milton Weiss, who recently has completed his training at
Radar School in Victorville, Calif., is spending a 15-day leave with
his mother, Mrs. Ida Weiss of Collingwood Ave., before leaving for
Herrington, Kan., where he will attend the B-29 School.
Lt. (j. g.) Maxwell M. Hoffman has returned to Camp Peary,
Va., after spending the holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
William Hoffman of LaSalle Blvd.
Pfc. Marvin Rosenthal, who recently returned from Europe, is
spending his 30-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Abraham G. Rosenthal of Calvert Ave. His brother-in-law and
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Bickman, and their son, Barry, have
come from Philadelphia to spend a fortnight with their family.
Cadet Jerome Keywell, who is stationed at Camp Pampa,
Texas, is spending a 15-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Keywell of Fairfield
Pvt. Harvey E. Schatz left' Tuesday for Kessler Field, Miss.,
2fter spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice
Schatz of Calvert Ave.
Pvt. Martin Rosensweet has returned to England General Hos-
pital in Atlantic City after a few days furlough spent with Mrs.
Rosensweet and their son, David, in their home in Leslie Ave. He
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rosensweet of Boston Blvd.
W/O Louis Lusky of Calvert Ave. is spending the Yom Kippur
week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Schwartz of Cleveland.
Lt. Sidney J. Newman Jr., who recently returned from Europe,
is spending his 30-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney
J. Newman of Glynn Ct.
Capt. Davis Benson returned Tuesday to McQuire General Hos-
pital, Richmond Va., after a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ben Benson of Calvert Ave.
Mrs. Harry Sklar of Chicago Blvd. has returned from Miami
Beach, Fla., where she went to spend the holidays with her children,
Cpl. Jerry Sklar and Pfc. and Mrs. Sidney Weiner. Her daughter,
Esther, who has been there for several weeks, returned with her.
Miss Pat Finsterwald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Miles Finster-
wald of Balmoral Rd., is leaving this week for Bronxville, N. Y.,
where she will resume her studies at Sarah Lawrence College.
Mrs. Davd J. Levy of Boston Blvd. has returned from a month's
stay in Long Island where she visit with members of her family.
Pvt. Sol Goldberg is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Goldberg of Grand Ave., while on delay enroute to Kelly Field,
Tex., where he will get an assignment. Pvt. Goldberg is in the
service since February 1945. His brother, Lt. Harry W. Cascade, also
of the USAAF, is serving in the Pacific.

Reuben B. Klamer, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Klamer of Can-
