need for someone to define his
rights and benefits in simple
terms and to point out the chan-

The Veterans Service program
of the National Jewish Welfare
Board, carried out jointly with
the Jewish War Veterans of
the U. S., seeks to perform this
function for the ex-serviceman
and woman with the highest de-
gree of personal attention.
As a joint enterprise of JWB_
and the JWV the program has
the added advantage of the aid
of the local posts of JWV and
of the 300 Jewish .Centers and

Samuel Schwartz, prominent
former Detroit merchant, for the
last few years a resident of Win-
dsor, died on Aug. 29 at his home,
982 Bruce St., Windsor, at the
age of 69.
Funeral services were held
Aug. 30 at the Shaar Hashomay-
im Synagogue, Windsor.
He is survived by his wife,
two sons and two daughters.
At the time of his funeral, a
memorial service was held for
