Purposes of Hashofar will be: 1. To enable those musicians and laymen who are interested in the history and development of Jewish music to gather at monthly meetings" to hear, discuss and perform. the better type of Jew- ish music. 2. To present to larger audiences from time to time such Jewish music which Hashofar deems worthy of performing. Member- ship is open. to professional musicians as well as laymen. Dues are $3 a year to profession- al as well as non-professional members, and $1.50 to students up to 18. This will entitle them to free admission to monthly meetings, at which new Jewish compositions will be performed and discussed. Group singing will conclude these meetings.
